Exactly. And the workflow was the main reason why I moved from Sonar to XT.

Can't speak for anyone else but atleast I was under impression that XT2 would mature, have atleast most of the XT1 features added, multicore support etc.

Oh well, I guess it's a time to understand XT2.x is never going to be the host I hoped. It's going to be/stay as a entry level, semi modular host with a killer gui but lacking features. Can't say it's a bad deal for it's price, actually it's fantastic but it could be so much more.

i cant believe you guys. its a rewrite. its getting more stable. allow it time. with linking up with behringer it means it has to be slowly getting to where it needs to.

what exactly does 1.4 have besides some of the comps that 2.5 doesnt?

i was trying 2x last night and it crashed .... 2.5 isnt crashing.

i dont see why you guys dont dig it, i mean this is pretty damn cool for a rewrite... learn to appreciate what you do have, ffs.

So because it hasn't crashed for *you* yet everyone else should just shut the hell up?
FFS indeed.

I'm happy. XT2 is rock solid stable, does everything I can think of and is quite nice to look at. I guess I'm lucky in that respect. I can understand everyone's disappointment that the new version doesn't bring any new features.

lol i guess i havent tried everything... ive been meandering from tracktion 3 just for fun, which for me doesnt crash much either...

im sorry for the outburst but i think that whatever is going on doesnt mean it isnt still being updated, i dont know - it seems pretty cool so far. i'm not sure what the entire problem is, I guess...

Maybe I'm out of control here, but then again, maybe im not!

Maybe the crashing is more multi core related... dunno.

One thing's for sure - it sure gets alot of attention:) Look how long this thread is and it appears that eXT has the most activity in this forum.

Maybe I should try it on my single core. :?: :?

last update was 18th of august (the november beta was a re-release of the 18th of august one)
that makes it 5 months now with no development on a sequencer that has a long bug list and many essential features missing.
in 5 months he could have at least added midi export so people can move out quicker from this sinking ship.
disgusted

3 clear priorities I would suggest for EXT2 to give users a glimmer of hope:

1) Dual core support - this is a must have. No other serious host today lacks this (the only other I know is Progect 5 and that is probably abandonware)

2) Plugin version should be up-to-date with the standalone.

3) Midi export

the fix for the automation problems is very welcome to me but the rest of the new features (now I can see them) seem to be pretty much window dressing - one wonders what has been happening during all these hours of coding we hear about.

I can't believe you either : isn't 2 years of wait f_cking damn enough ?
And putting up a new craptastic website just to celebrate the fact that a BETA has been renamed a full 2,5 version ? Who's kidding ???
its getting more stable.
No.
100% reproductible bugs are still here. So if Jorgen is "busy coding days and nights", it musn't be on Ext2.
with linking up with behringer it means it has to be slowly getting to where it needs to.
What does that mean ? That it will take again 5 more years to get a copy of something else, like Behringer always does ?
learn to appreciate what you do have
Like the Reaper's weekly updates ?
Like ABleton announcing Live8 ?
YES, i am starting really appreciating daw getting improved and updatede and bugfixed. Sadly, it is NOT ext.
allow it time.
The problem is there : isn't 2 full years enough ???
How much time do we still have to wait to get autromation bugs fixed ? Drumtrack taken to another worthy level ?
I am really VERY bored of the long wait.
I was rather patient and quiet untill now, but now, it is too much, i can only imagine Jorgen laughing at our faces.
What a crap. :x

PS : for the fun of it, did you even tried to compare the what'snew.txt of Ext, Live and Reaper ?
Just check this (9 new features after 6 months, no bugfixes, and among the 9 items a so f**king damn importanht amazing "spalsh-screen" wooooo) and this.
ANd this : the changelog from Reaper since July2008 :
. All for free. Now THAT is an update. And Reaper is rock stable.

Yes, i will end up thinking that Jorgen found an old floppy disk in a bin, back from his Win95 days. Ext2 was on it.

A plug-in, host or developer that you have chosen to watch / monitor has just had a news item posted at KVR Audio:

XT Software releases energyXT v2.5
Now, this is rubbing salt into the wound.
