Does anyone know if Spectrasonics has said how large this download is going to be? I only have 11.1 GB left on my hard drive after installing Omni. Man I hope it isn't another 45 GB.... :? I'm hoping that they didn't record many more soundsources and just used the existing ones to create the patches.

Don't think it will be a download... but no I didn't see where they said what size it is. Maybe it is still being sampled and so they aren't sure???

It's all new PATCHES not soundsources, so I doubt it will be very big at all.

dont' act all suprised.... there is a patch in wings of steam almost sounds like a scraping sound that you alternate between left and right speaker. I am just hoping that is included :-)

but great job spectrasonics... as always you delivered.
For the OP who asked if trilogy macintel users suffered... just google it and see all the cursing spectrasonics got :-)

Do you guys know if they are also releasing an Omni update to fix issues users have been having with the software?

A working disc that's 90% full is a disk that's going to die soon. The constant head thrashing and defragmentation will wear out the moving parts quicker. Time to upgrade.

Well last updates for the VSTi (RMX) itself was about... 50MB? Dunno anymore. But I'm fairly sure the servers will be hammered in March.

Can't wait to see the new videos for RMX to be honest. This new Time Designer Feature sure comes in handy for moving stuff around and changing the beat (feeling) of the loop. No in-depth editing in the KeyEditor anymore.

Huge improvement indeed. Still remember the horror with that one DnB remix I had to do. *shudders*

Yes we did. Trilogy was my main bass source for a couple of years and I used it on countless songs. After I moved to Intel about a year ago, it was simply impossible to use it any more (despite Spectrasonics' haxor beta wrappers) and I had to look for other alternatives (I was even forced to use a real bass!)... but for some reason, nothing ever sounded quite as good.

The news comes just in time, as I was just about to look for something else. I'm especially happy about the "Extensive 'Round-Robin' sampling", the lack of which is my main gripe in most bass instruments. But May? Arrgh! In any case, thanks once again Spectrasonics! I would have been happy to pay $99, but $0 was a really nice surprise!

I realized a cool thing about the RMX update today that I didn't see yesterday. Since it now has Groove Lock, you can actually lock the groove from one loop to the groove of another in the library, all without leaving RMX. Then you can also change the time signature of all your loops using the time designer, simplify loops that are too busy(works VERY well, surprisingly), etc.

This update is going to rock, I promise you that. Your library just got more interesting.

The RMX update is going to be very nice indeed for those of us who like to use time signatures other than straight 4/4 every now and again. They can't wheel that out fast enough. 8)
