Rott, there was a free version of Podium on one of the CM coverdiscs some time ago. (Maybe it's on every disc I don't know) I suggest you try that. (I have NO association with Zynewave whatoever, just making a suggestion)

I have not really used eXT2 that much since the automation bug emerged. After a quick test run of 2.5, it seems to be gone. I will have to try out 2.5 this weekend and see if its usable in some way for me.

I have read every post in this thread so far, and personally can feel everybody's pain here. While I wasn't expecting any miracles to happen in XT2.5, I was expecting a noticeable change, and perhaps a handful of the major bugs worked out.

Apparently, none of this has really happened. Yes, I downloaded XT2.5 and tried it out in both Windows and Linux, and really, it seems, not much has changed. Personally, for me it is a let-down to wait and wait and wait... and get little in return.

According to Uli Behringer, he takes pride in his company, and the products that his company provides. Uli's primary concern is customer satisfaction and product reliability.

For me personally, I am most likely going to write Uli directly, and ask him for an ultimatum:

Either get EnergyXT 2.5 fixed, and by that I mean, start working through the list of bugs... and not just any particular area, but rather the top two or three bugs in every category... and provide an overall improvement to the product...

or...

I will promptly request a refund of my license. Oh, yeah, I read the User Agreement, and realize there is no refund, but on the other hand, as others, and myself have said: "I'm a paying customer"

I'm not going to vent, or name-call, or trash anyone or anything in this forum. Simply put: I want what I paid for, and I want support from either Jorgen and/or Behringer. If they say you can get support on this forum from the developers, then I want to see it, or I want compensation.

Uli, and Jorgen: The clock is ticking... I will type up a letter very soon and send it off to Mr. Behringer personally in two weeks. My suggestion is that you, Jorgen and Uli is that you react positively with your paying customers, do what ever it takes to work out the bugs in the code, and deliver a quality product, or prepare to refund the license, and lose a large customer following and suffer damaging reputation to your companys.

Did you get your license for XT with a Behringer product NexxuSix? Otherwise I don't think it has much to do with them, even if you did I think the license would still be with XT software.

That said, pride in product does seem to be part of the issue here.

Is it really gone?
Could you test the same scenario using 2.5 and an older version (a previous beta), and 2.5 worked while the older crashed?

Thanks

Just check this (9 new features after 6 months, no bugfixes, and among the 9 items a so f**king damn importanht amazing "spalsh-screen" wooooo) and this.
ANd this : the changelog from Reaper since July2008 :
. All for free. Now THAT is an update. And Reaper is rock stable.
This is the reaper changelog:

Also, the renoise changelog:

Those are the two sequencers I use at the moment. To the few clowns who don't understand why people are upset here, I suggest you take a look at their respective sites and forums to see how serious products are maintained and developed.

I gave up on XT2 a long time ago, but it's amazing that simple things like the scrollbar behavior (that shouldn't take more than a few hours to fix, if that) are still in there.

+1 :tu:

I also thougth we should collectively write a complain mail to Behringer, explaining how damaging to their reputation is XT2.
That would be utter fun.

But ive just got laid and i cant give a f**k, im not angry enough [to be honest im not angry at all] to shit on Jorgens bussiness, but hey, tommorrow will be a day too!

ps: you are not the first one who wants a refund and i can understand that, those who bougth xt2 for xt2 [and not xt1 or massiva in the old days] really didnt get what they wanted. maybe xt2 will write history with the first group refund! haha

Oh, once again it's all my fault, yes?

I applaude your for your vivid... *cough* ...perception. You are a smart guy, tomg, and you prove it once again.

Don't give a sh*t about Behringer, I didn't buy anything from them. I'm disappointed with the lack of updates and bug fixes with XT but not to the point of going on a witchhunt or using another company to get to Jorgen. Fook that sh*t.

Of course you are oblivious to all the shit you pulled. You probably think that you were helping. Regardless of what you did here, I though you were way out of line to go on the Reaper forum and air your dirty lanundry.

I don't have anything personal against you. I don't even know you, but that was shitty.
