Zebra 2 (Number 1 by a considerable margin. )
Albino 3 (Creamed silk combed neatly but still screams!)
Alpha (It's the sound!)
Moog Modular V (Again, it's the sound.)
Morphine ( This thing is well worth learning it subtleties and that is where it is so impressive. It is truly different and requires thinking different about what you want to create, but it's easier to do than it at first seems. You'll have to understand sound a lot more to really get into it, then it knocks your socks off.) :box:

Take care,

Unique and Rapture rock... I'm totally looking forward to the Fxpansion stuff. Like I everybody else, I have had a few synths here and there I really loved, got bored with, loved again, got bored with etc....

In all fairness, Rapture, seems to be the synth I have owned the longest, and keep coming back to find new and amazing things inside.

Unique, I've only recently bought that, but I know for sure, I will love it as much, if not more than Rapture. Probably more, but this is a lot of typing as for my reasons why.

Anyways, I have high hopes for the new Fxpansion... Time, time, time, time, time, we shall see in time.....

Has anybody tried Straightliner? It's very simple, but is perfect for a home-schooled future sound designer like me. No frills, and it sounds wonderful.

As I now have more softsynths than my talent and skill can justify, I will save my list for the next top-five thread.

I concur about Rapture. I can't believe it took 3 pages to mention Rapture. I love that synth...probably my #1 pick especially considering all the .sfz samples available to "expand" it.

Zebra CM is also a beast.

Those two plus a Rompler (my choice is Sampletank) will take you a long way.
