True mnmlfrk. It may suprise you, but justice uses allot of "reason". for example they use the scream distortion from reason and a clavi instument. i don't know which compression unit they use, but I'm sure the settings are extreme :-)
the bass sounds are chopped from a sample cd, disco... can't remember the exact name.

anyway, i like/love justice but why try to recreate there sound . try to find your own sound i would say.

recreation gets you to know your way around,
but seriously dapting justice style is only of use if you want to apply to ed rec

Yes thats true, and subconscious i do it myself. i use more heavy compression and distortion on synths than i used to.

ive heard they were on cubase mostly... i guess any distortion unit would do about the same job if u knew how to tweak it right...

what i know is that theyve spent months exploring the whole distortion thing before they made the album.. which took them a year to make..

I read an article about Justice, it seems like they even used the distortion unit from Reason and Reason itself.
And for sequencing not cubase but ableton.

I've uploaded a good kick and snare to start with.

And for Reason 4.0 users i recreated the justice bass synth
Here's the Reason file: http://users.skynet.be/fa053367/justicebass.zip don't pay any attention to the melody, i was just testing the bass :) [/url]

combine the two http://users.skynet.be/fa053367/justicetest.mp3
