Sidechaining could be done in SX3 (I'm not sure about earlier versions of SX, as I never tried).

Now, whether or not it was/is easy to set up a sidechain for third party plugins in SX3, that's another story.

I too was comparing it a little to cubase 5. However I also wonder if C5 can do the one thing i actually care about it to do.

VST3 can do it, and apparently VST2 using workarounds. It's not Steinberg's fault, developers here need to catch up.

I don't have anything against Logic..In opposite..I love logic, but I am angry on apple because Logic isn't that daw what it used to be..It has no advantage over concurent products..Except look..But look is one good thing that apple did to logic..nothing else..everything else is (e)magic .. greetz

What I know about Logic 9 is the following....

1] Logic 9 has features such as a piano roll and a mixer.

2] Apple has decided to port it from OsX to OsX . OsX customers can upgrade to the OsX version for a small fee.

3] 9 comes before 10, but is after 8.

That last one is just a rumor, though.

Please plan accordingly.

by your nickname it sounds like you make dancemusic, get live 7 and rewire it into logic 8.

if or when logic adds elastic audio sell live 7.

sorted.

If you look at it purely from a feature stand point, maybe, but all the features in the world don't mean anything if a piece of software is buggy and hard to use.

As far as logic 9 is concerned, the issue is mostly the lack of information. Up until the very day logic 8 came out, some people were claiming that logic was dead and there would never be another version. Not everybody was happy with that version, but it's undeniable that it was a big update, and proof that lack of news does not mean lack of activity.
