Gottit, thanks.

One question, any chance of some presets for this? I mean, without presets is it not irrelevant? For instance, Depth and warmth on a hi hat, requires different frequency management than on a bass guitar? Or am I missing the point? If so, sorry, I'm the world's worst engineer.

Yeah maybe in the next version I'll add that feature. Bandwidth control perhaps. If you have more complex needs you should use a 31 band eq. This wasn't originally intended as a final or a sole plug for EQ'ing, but as some have said, and in my own experience, I only needed a compressor after it and I'm done. :) But as I've said before, it's also a matter of taste. What we think is generally 'warm' for a wide range of instruments might not necessarily fit the description of some engineers. That's perfectly fine. I'll take note of your suggestion for the next free version. :) Thanks!

Or maybe we can start working on EQONE XL or something (XL as in Xtra Large). It will have a lot of controls this time. For example: Depth, Thump, Boom, Warmth, Mud, Body, Chest, Nasal, Shrill, Nausea, Attack, Air, Brightness, Brilliance and other characteristics (which we can give names people want). This could eliminate the need for presets or a more sophisticated bandwidth handling, since it will pretty much function like a 20-30-band EQ *with a special touch*. :) What do you guys think? It wouldn't be free, but it will definitely be very affordable, won't cost more than half the price of SE I guess.

I've received a couple of new reports that this plug-in does not work well in Nuendo. It does work fine in Cubase, Live, or FLStudio. It could be anything from ASIO driver compatibility to the SE compiler itself, so until we resolve it it might not function well in Nuendo. If it does, however, please do inform me. Thank you!

Works OK in Cubase SX3 and Wavelab5 (WinXP/Pro).

Thanks for the new tool!

Thanks.

I used it in Reaper with no problem-the effect was quite startling and definitely added everything you said it would. As far as presets go, I think this is more of a 'by the ear' thing. I nudged the sliders around until I got exactly what I was looking for. I guess it depends on what kind of music you're doing. +1

Cool! thanks man. That's why the sliders don't have any marks or graduation. :)

i just had this really crazy idea, ok check this out, if there are certain eq ranges for each of these qualities you have mentioned, depth, warmth, body, clarity, brightness [etc.], and if every instrument in a mix is supposed to occupy its own frequency range, then isnt it justifiable to associate individual instruments with these characteristics, and mix them accordingly?

wow, that's a really good idea. I could put below the characteristics which instruments belong there. Or are you suggesting sort-of an auto-EQ functionality so instead of characteristics we name the sliders instruments, and as you boost or decrease they get EQ'd and unEQ'd accordingly?

Hey, I got to say ... I'm using this in Reaper and it's superb.
I record mainly acoustic instruments. Guitar, bass, mandolin, penny-whistle ... and this EQ truly brings each of these instruments to life the way no other does ... and so easily.
Thanks

Thanks mildonm :)
acoustic stuff here too, I like this plug a lot, simple and effective, definitely a keeper.

put me down for the instrument eq too, sounds like a great idea...

im saying the first thing you said, u can write characteristics of your song, and then which instruments belong there to fill them out and which of the instruments with the particular characteristic is primary, secondary, etc... using this you could better create the atmosphere you want in your song, and also dont forget to eq these instruments correctly too of course.
