Ok, I've just uploaded beta 15, I've put the midi back to how it was and implemented a midi record trigger, C6 on the midi keyboard, it will record as long as the key is held down. No need to select manual record mode it should work alongside as long as they are not both used at the same time.
Let me know how it goes.
The other midi stuff will take longer.

Nice! ...I still can't try yet (still working), but want to ask if there is still a 1 bar intro before it records, or if pressing C6 records instantly?Astralp wrote:Ok, I've just uploaded beta 15, I've put the midi back to how it was and implemented a midi record trigger, C6 on the midi keyboard, it will record as long as the key is held down. hehe I wish! It's freezing at the moment, and a comfy chair without arms is high on my list of wants (and I'm not kidding! I had one with arms but playing the guitar was torture)jdt wrote:OMG!! That was the first time I browsed the parameters of this puppy, the list goes on forever! Is Astralp uploading these new Betas from a nice, comfy padded room somewhere?![]()
I should be able to add one, I'll have a look...Sadly tho, I didn't see the record button in the list...however it looks like every other function could be linked.
Black Magic is quite a piece of work, I'll say.
Yep, done that there was one already, it was just set to private. In the next release....

Yes it is an enormous list, considering that each section has 30+ parameters and that is multiplied by 10, by far the most complex thing I've built lol

I know what you mean about the chair... my chair has arms and I bought that way because it looked and felt so comfortable, until I sat down with the guitar.
Oh well... next time.

There is no intro, I didn't see the point?elxicano wrote:Nice! ...I still can't try yet (still working), but want to ask if there is still a 1 bar intro before it records, or if pressing C6 records instantly?

One bug I have found: when playing the internal sequencer if I press a midi note on my keyboard to trigger one percussion sample some of the other sound vary in volume for no apparent reason (& the random volume option is not selected).
Also, a quick suggestion; why is there a shadow coming from the left & right at the same time for the knobs? wouldn't it looked clearer if the "light" would come from just one place? I think it look a little bit messy this way (still it is looking good but I was wondering).
keep up the good work!

Light coming at it from straight on/overhead will cast multiple shadows in reality. I do still life photography everyday, that's how it works in my shots anyway.
Just my opinion, but I think it adds to the 3D realism of the GUI.

Cool... Don't worry, not a feature request, just wanted to be sure.
@SampleScience... Maybe there's two lights? I've got two small, soft lights above each each monitor, beside I really like this gui (not trying to start a gui war here).

hehe
well the GUI Frontend is out of my hands, that is Andreas's department. The 2D design comes from a 3D model and is rendered out as 2D. It may change, he is still working on it, main thing is we have all the placements correct now.
As for the sound variation, is it due to the compressor?

Yeh the damned chair, weird thing is I've had it for years, and haven't played much guitar. I never put 2+2 together until I got Amplitube and suddenly realised how I was stupidly perched on the edge of the thing! I'm playing more guitar now though but just have an uncomfy kitchen chair.... lol

Yeah me too. Got one of the big high-backed chairs with arms... Felt like Cpt. Kirk on the bridge of the Enterprise. Then I tried to function as musician + engineer...Luckily I didn't toss out my crappy low-rise armless chair!

Since we're talking about guitars, if anyone knows how to send pitch bend from an Axon AX 100 SB to vst and have vst actually play back pitchbend info in host, let me know.

I'm seeing if I can get some instrumentation set up with BM, Baby Bion, Home Grown Piano Demo, and Astralis Orgone Lite, but am having some problems in FL Studio which appear to potentially be caused by Orgone Lite. Is the vst pretty cpu intensive ordinarily? It could be my only having 1 gb memory.
Here's an error if needed:
Access violation at address 2FDE4A9C in module 'AP_KEYBOARD XL GUI V3.SEM'. Read of address 26147300. While I was typing this, the error message box proliferated to about 12 boxes and my screen turned white. Either I or the host terminated the program.

Hi Jim
ahhh yes I think Orgone lite missed out on the last batch of updates, I think the problem is mainly with Multi Core Machines. I'll look into that after I've finished BM. SampleScience reported that a couple of weeks ago, you'll have to stick with Baby Bion in the meantime.
