Shame really. *Erhem* years on and Imposcar holds its own with just about any vst in terms of sheer sound quality. it will probably not be exactly the same as Sylenth, but I shall endeavour to make you HappyClappy

I saw that short video teaser, and it seems there are (is?) lots of good new stuff for impOSCar2...
...but I still can't get past the screenshot. Indeed there does appear to be more knobs.
a 2nd LFO sounds good, but...more knobs!
Better arp sounds like an improvement, but...more knobs!
External input to filters - that sounds an even better deal, but...more knobs!
Some semimythical SOB implementations sounds intriguing indeed, but...only if it's got more knobs!
Yay! More knobs!
Ooeer missus - more knobs! Phwoaarrr!

If SOB is still intended for release, it must have been in development for around 4 years by now? Becoming the Duke Nukem of the VST world?

I'm now concerned that by releasing this we'll be encouraging this rather unhealthy knob obsession of yours.kritikon wrote:Yay! More knobs!![]()

I never thought that adding an LFO would heap so much moral responsibility on my shoulders.

That reminds me, I was in Wally World today, picking up some shaving cream, and as I turned my cart into the next aisle, out of the corner of my eye I saw a box with big red letters "VCF". Huh? I thought, synths in the pharmacy section?kritikon wrote:Not that I want to compare your synth to panty liners...
No, I was wrong. The letters stood for Vaginal Contraceptive Film.
But hey, the chain does carry beginner guitars and drums, so why not synths?

Hmmm - if you stretch the stuff tight enough, I suppose you could get it to resonate when you twang it. Could make for some interesting analogue gynaecological research...bags me the one to record filter response

Wasn't the story something like this: They forgot to renew the trade mark and thus f**ked themselves and decided to get some public goodwill by "giving" it back to Tom.
