yeah but shouldn't he be finishing off the products instead of creating and posting demos ? :-)

Did I miss in these pages when and how much?

Thanks for these Andy..

I didn't get either, or an answer as to whether it will be available as a download to get around shipping and handling/customs/import charges.

That's true, I would still like to know as well. I would much rather prefer a download.

Thank you for demonstrating cutoff env control at such short notice. Does sound very nice indeed. I think sylenths has just a very slight edge still on smoothness on the initial attack of the decay, but this is still a lot better than on a lot of other soft-synths, nice one :)

That reminds me, I still need to download a demo of Helix and check out the envelopes on that thing...

But yeah, that single oscillator in Strobe sure does have balls!

Wow. Strobe arp dance demo reminds me some old Font242 tunes.

Thanks. That's just the kind of demo that I wanted to hear.

And I must say I was sold within the first 15 seconds or so! Brilliant stuff!

Whether this could be called 'revolution' is debatable, but, to my ears, it certainly sounds like a distinct improvement over all the other analogue modelled synths I've ever heard.

The only thing that worries me now is the price.

Helix has fast envelopes, but I don't think Helix is a VA. Its a tried and true digital. Great sound!! But everything about it is digital.

Lots of people are so adverse to digital.

But, when digital is done right, it is a great sound. Rapture, Helix, even Reaktor on many levels, Surge, etc... Or even hardware, like the rolands, and korgs.....

VA's its a different story.

Even the Virus, is just getting a little old............ imo.......

Anyways, Sylenth is a great sounding synth, and it is a VA, but in terms of sheer clarity, and vibe, it is a VA a bit on the digital side....

I'd like to get the FXpansion, here into the studio, cause I wont judge resonance, filter and envelope response completely based on a 160kbs mp3.......

These synths, have something no other soft, I can think of at current moment have........

"Synth Squad sounds like a really aged bottle of wine. I'm reckoning that the beautiful tone, has been combined with modulation and synthesis abilities only a computer can do. These are most for certainly a new chapter in software instrument sound vibe."

Anyways, I didn't get sold on the lenner digital... Great synth, maybe, a bit over-rated maybe... Certainly has a lot of fans... I just get really turned off by whatever is going on Sylenth's high frequencies...

Awesome tracks, downloaded and added to playlist!

These are just tracks of mine.

Quite a long listen but it showcases the synths well as apart from the obvious guitars/vocals and drums all the synth parts , basses , leads , pads , sound effects are the new synths.

As an aside it also demonstrates the awesomeness imo of Guru which was used for all the drums/percussion.

This is a shorter track http://colourofsound.8088.org/outlander.mp3

and another http://colourofsound.8088.org/detective.mp3

and another http://colourofsound.8088.org/Inspector.mp3

Hopefully theres enough there!

Cheers

Arksun wrote:Question about the envelopes, how fast does the attack on modulation envelopes react?. In particular when assigned to filter cutoff.

One of the things that is a weakness in a lot of soft-synths is the speed and accuracy of the envelopes when using very fast attack times. You end up getting this dull clicking sound, instead of that super smooth ultra fast sweep one would expect to hear.

Sylenth1 has one of the nicest sounding fast attacks with its mod envelope (one of its greatest strengths), would be great to see(hear) other synths adopting equally fast or faster reacting envelopes :)
That's one of many other reasons i still hold on to Vaz 2010 / Modular
