Hi, excuse me but i don't speak english very well.
My PC is this : Pentium 4 - 3Ghz - HT ; 4 Gbyte RAM; 3 HardDisk (2 are in
RAID 0), EMU0404, WINXP PRO SP3 Optimized for DAW, etc etc
I have tried Cantabile 2 Demo and i have 2 problem :
1) The CPU metter is more high than the "WinXP TaskManager CPU Meter",
i haven't this prolem with "Brainspawn forte Ensemble".
Can be the problem the Hyper Threading ? I don't want disable it
2) When i change subsession it is very fast, but when i change subsession
from SessionList it is slow. Why ?

That is normal for this program. Cantabile calculates CPU usage in a different way from the Task Manager.
When the proprietor Brad Robinson returns from holidays, I imagine he will be willing to explain that calculation for all of us again.

The CPU meter seems to vary drastically depending on whether you enable "Aggressive" or "Compatibility" mode as well

I've been told that Cantabile shows "timing loads" and is therefore much more accurate in indicating system bottlenecks concerning audio processing than the allover CPU meter of windows which shows a more averaged load. Windows is no realtime OS... You will also find that Cantabile sometimes shows more than 100% load which is impossible referring just to system resources but when you refer to the needs audio has in a peaking moment.
Just to add... My test machine for Cantabile is even weaker than yours and Cantabile is really one of the rare programs that satisfies me on that platform.
