I suppose that was a hint hehe. I can't say what it is on standing foot, though (thats hard to do). Sounds pretty funny, i suppose you do a lot of filter manipulation?

there is some filter manipulation going on,

the bass is mostly Strobe (loaded inside Fusor) but only strobe envelope is controlling the filter AFAIR! the rest of the modulation is me working the pitch wheel set to 1 octave

Anyway, as said in the pm, i like that grittyness over the sound. Just didn't like the examples on the synthsquad.com page. I mean, the sounds are fine but eh.. Its probably just about what music i work with. Hope to hear something more in that direction soon, but suppose i have to wait till Q2 for testing. Looking forward to that, though.

I will definitely be keeping the plugin around the USD 100 mark. I want it to be affordable to people, the only thing I'm worried about is that the plugin will be perceived as being lower quality because it's less expensive. Too bad, I'm making mine affordable to people and hope they use their ears to judge and not the price tag.

I have long contended that some plugs are overpriced for this very reason -- to make them seem superior because they're expensive. Many of us know better and will be quite pleased to have a quality compressor plug for $100. That and word of mouth will ensure a favorable response to your work. No reason to be concerned that an affordable price sends the wrong message.

In actual use, how will this differ from the BFD2 Buss Comp? I already think that one is excellent, so I'd be interested in how you feel you bested your earlier attempt with this new buss compressor.

Based on the one in BFD2, I know I'll definitely be purchasing this one.

In actual use, how will this differ from the BFD2 Buss Comp? I already think that one is excellent, so I'd be interested in how you feel you bested your earlier attempt with this new buss compressor.

Based on the one in BFD2, I know I'll definitely be purchasing this one.

Hopefull this will answer you question:
1) I've re-done the entire algorithm with way more attention to detail in the analog model, with all the shelving, low pass and high pass filters included which give everything a little better behaviour and make things sound smoother.
2) I've added an ultra fast attack time for limiting which needs the new algorithm and I've added more release times.
3) The most important change, I've added the range knob which backs off the compression in a very natrual way and is perfect for mastering.
4) Also it will have a great gui, and the needle updates way faster in an ultra silky smooth manner so you can tell exactly what's going on
5) I've optimised the dsp so it runs with less cpu.
6) It will support sidechaining in all hosts that support it.

Hope you support VST3 instead the old VST2? This would make sidechaining a lot easier in hosts like Cubase.
