Peculiar SaxLab behaviour

I was at a studio yesterday where we used Saxlab 2.0.3 in SX3

We encountered a peculiar issue...we played in a fast MIDI phrase and
it seemd to get stuck in the audio...i.e. it kept playing back at us
repeatedly and gradually fading away (as if a very long delay fx on it)
but there were no effects!

We could no figure out why this was happening, none of the other VSTis
were doing this!

Anyone familiar with this plug-in and ever heard of this anomoly before?
