its really worthy IMO :)

honestly if i had no internet connection at all to download freeware, a single CM issue would have provided me already the tools to start producing music (and maybe i wouldnt spend lots of my free time in neverending betatests without closing any track, but that s another story and totally my own fault,,,:P)

Peace
I second that. You don't probably need all issues of CM, but having one (or to be correct the DVD it comes with), is essential. CM Studio rocks, and don't forget there are Mac (OS9/OSX) versions too!
I will whole heartly third that one

The ubi one & The Jazz man speak many truths

It is absolutely an essential purchase IMHO even just as a one off. We have on this very thread talked about/considered what sort of a price all the audio software and samples that come on the Computer Music magazine cover DVD each month (an 8GB dual layer disc these days) for the lowly bargain price of *£5/£6 GBP* and i don't think we managed to put a rough price on it but all agreed that its easily going into triple figures and easily well over *£100 GBP*

Not shure if anyone posted em' yet, or at the very least, in a while sooo... here's the COMPLETE Jack Dark collection. The actual plugs. Not the " I have compile these on my own(whatever that means) ones:

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=7d4d ... 49b5870170

EULA does NOT say I can't re-distribute them (unless the higher powers know something I don't) so. Enjoy :)

Let me know if the link does'nt work. Never had a Mediafire account b4.

dreaddd wrote:...also dont forget to get down the fixes patch (downloadable separately from the site itself) that may be useful depending from the config your machine has
as far as i could see,the 'fix' was just a new version,i think.
i haven't read the help yet,so didn't get very far, though both versions loaded ok.
i hate full-screen thingies,i can never get outa there without ctrl-alt-del. :?

dreaddd wrote:back on the Pots subject instead...i think ill have a use of that for some lofi-timbaleish snare or percussion for sure :)..actually i kept it mostly for that task :)

Peace
i'm glad you've found a use for it.
(i always new there was a gap in the market for a bunch of badly sampled yogurt-pots. :hihi:)
there's a new one in the making,
the last in the 'reception models' series.
it's gonna be a collection of loo-roll shakers.

NEKRO.MACHINE wrote:That is some dirty tactics and RBR IMO Buttplugs GUI's are pretty crap. On top of CPU munching shit GUI's They also offer to 'create you any custom plug-in you can think off for X-amount of money' IIRC: the stupid pricks

I would not of gone visiting them anyway but thanks for the warning about 'shitplugs' Jimi

Nekro

mm guys are you really really sure about the clickjack hijack attempt Jimi mentioned?
i subscribed long ago there to get their usual Xmas freebie (the delay plugin actually) and never had any problem browsing their site
i agree their plugins are way too expensive for the stuff they do, but i dont think they are to be bashed such heavily IMO...
some of their plugins are not that bad IMO, surely not top notch, but hell! after all we're archeological-wise talking on this thread right? ;)

EDIT err you seem to have several proofs of that, as pointed out in the following pages, so i fear i just pointlessly opened an old can of worms again..sorry about that
still no fw or av is warning me at all when entering their site, so far..doh! hence i dont know...

Peace
it was a click jack warning from firefox 3 (the popup for the link and the destination were NOT the same, so i considered it legit)
but for me the real issue was finding some other bloke's personal info there including street addie.

tho dom thought i was nuts, i found this to be disconcerting enough to report..

i should go there again and see if the same shit happens...brb

it appears to be rectified, i DID email them about it, as well as the brazillian bloke who's info was on the form.

the thing with clickjacks, is they are a hack...you THINK you;re clicking something, but really clicking a transparent gif pointing at something completely different, and usually the compromised site hasn't the foggiest idea they're compromised.

whatever, ancient history now i guess,
lol

Description

"It is a set of new tools and techniques for sound design."
BrothersoftEditor/ This is the initial release of TAPESTREA, a set of new tools and techniques for sound design. Please download the source (GPL) and binaries below. TAPESTREA is our ongoing research project investigating new ways and tools to analyze, transform, and synthesize sound. This is a very experimental audio software, so anticipate glorious disasters and please let us know if you run into issues.

The best way to start working with and learning about taps is to try the software, join the taps mailing list, check out the wiki, ask questions, and help shape the design. So, whether you are a sound designer, audio researcher, composer, developer, or none/all of the above, take a spin on the TAPESTREA loom and uh, make a musical tapestry. you can free download TAPESTREA 0.1.0.4 now.\
