@ pdxindy - yep, or they can run in Advanced mode which is a sort of three-in-one. Certainly, you can switch patterns on the fly with a MIDI CC.
The individual synths have audio input, Fusor as it currently stands does not.
@ teknobryan - FXpansion has never announced plans to release a compressor; anything you may have seen or heard about is no more than a prototype. Andy is releasing one through his own company Cytomic, it's not directly related to anything of ours though. Fusor features the same D-CAM compressors as BFD2, but as with BFD2, they're part of the instrument, not stand alone effects.

Yes. Deadmau5, BSOD, Chris Lake and Sebastian Leger are currently using it in their productions to name a few. I'll get a full list of names with comments from the users up on www.cytomic.com when it's officially announced.teknobryan wrote:oops, sorry, I was confused...anyways...doesn't Deadmau5 and Sebastian Leger use this Cytomic compressor?

I'm guessing that "around the 100 usd mark" means closer to 100 usd than 200. But maybe I'm just reading too far into that.bodan wrote:does that mean less than 200 USD?andy_cytomic wrote: The final price is still to be fixed but it should be around the 100 usd mark.

Hey Shy,Shy wrote:...Personally, except the smooth sound at high frequencies and with high overdrive (thanks to the offline oversampling), none of the demos really appealed to me and I think there's the usual digital harshness and lack of flexibility (literally, with fast attacks for example). But there's also something other digital synths lack, and it at least sounds like it's mostly thanks to how your overdrive is integrated with the basic sound.
I've done some clean examples for you, where the filter drive isn't so much and the output drive is less as well. I also roughly matched the power supply of your sh-101 with the analog noise knob, which I didn't bother to do previously:

http://www.vellocet.com/SynthSquadAudio ... odirve.wav
I hope you don't mind I took an excerpt out of the example you posted and then copied and pasted them together with a similar sweep in strobe so that people can listen to the analog and digital back to back in quick succession:

http://www.vellocet.com/SynthSquadAudio ... gi_res.wav
Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for the info. Animator sounds like what I would wish to have in any synth. Can it output midi like GURU?!Angus_FX wrote:@ pdxindy - yep, or they can run in Advanced mode which is a sort of three-in-one. Certainly, you can switch patterns on the fly with a MIDI CC.

With the audio input. So I can load a Strobe in slot 1 in Fusor along with a Cypher in slot 2 and I can have the Strobe receiving audio in? Or is audio in not possible in the individual synths when they are in Fusor?

@pdxindy - no, it's just for the synths at the moment, no MIDI out at least in 1.0.
We don't have audio from synth to synth in Fusor yet, but Fusor does have discrete outs so you could do that in your host if you felt the need. TBH, as the synths don't have effects on board, and given that there's a fairly nice filter comparable to Strobe's in the effects section (as well as the chorus and formant blocks from Amber), it wouldn't really gain all that much.
@ sureno - can't help you much on the fame or girls front, but your own judicious use of the synths and compressor may result in those anyways. Seems to work pretty well for Deadmau5 at least
