I'm using a MacPro 8-core with OSX 10.5.5 and Miroslav Philharmonik V1.1.1 and quite often I get stuck or hanging notes. I've found that if I toggle the mono/poly setting this is a quick fix that stops the offending note. However, this doesn't work quite a well when using a Combi so I find resetting the Combi faster. I'm using the fastest Mac possible so that can't be the problem. I've filtered out all extraneous MIDI data such as System Exclusive and Real Time data that my Yamaha S90ES spews out. I've set the Miroslav Standalone latency to 2048! And the DP latency to 512! However, even with simply note on/off data, I can get hung notes. This happens both in standalone and within Digital Performer V5.14 or DP6 sequencer. I'm certain its happening within Miroslav IK as I don't have this problem with any other plugin and when kill all the notes, the Miroslav remains hanging with its stuck note until I reset it. Sometimes they are notes I've played and sometimes not. I've checked with MIDI Monitor and the Yamaha S90ES is NOT spewing out any abberent notes - its happening within Miroslav IK. Needless to say, this is very annoying and really a mood killer.

So why am I getting stuck notes? All software is up to date. What else can I check or do?

Suggestions?

Greg

I'm sure there will be people here that may have had this issue, but another good avenue is to log into your IK User Area and use the support form there as their support is usually excellent. To be on the other side of the see-saw, I am on just about the slowest MacBook Pro (from 2006) and don't get this issue (though I've moved it off to my Receptor recently but I have used it on my laptop recently without a hitch). I use the standalone from time to time and really did not experience this.

Thanks buscemi. Good suggestion to post in the IK User Area as well.

In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I'm all ears.

There was an old bug in 1.0 I believe where you'd get stuck notes while using Transpose but it doesn't sound like that applies here.

I get this with all the "Powered by Sampletank" synths... It happens on my present Quad-Core setup and happened on my older single-core setup too...
The way I deal with it is by lowering the polyphony on the interface to the lowest setting and then raising it again.. I've just accepted it as a "normal" part of working with SampleTank stuff because I don't really expect IK to fix it until they bring out some kind of major updates...
