This has been discussed here before, but I wanted to mention it again. I think the last time I was able to access Sensomusic's site was about 8-12 months ago. I really want to download the newest version, but I can't get to it!

I am wondering if anyone who is able to access the forums over there could mention it to Olivier and maybe point him to this thread, or maybe ask him for permission to put the free version up on Rapidshare or something, so that those of us who can't get to his site can still have access to the program.

I would happily discuss it with him myself, but since I can't get to his site...

I am sure I have seen him post here before, and I would really like to try figure out a solution so we can all get access to Usine. An awesome program it is.

Anyway, if anyone would be willing to drop a mention to him, I (and probably many others) would appreciate it. Thanks!

I'll put a link to this on the Sensomusic forum to notify the others of the problem.

Have you tried downloading directly without first going into the site? I don't know much about the web-related stuff, but I guess it's worth a try:

I will try out that link when I get home. I feel like I tried it before, but it can't hurt to try again. So we'll see.

Anyway, thanks for the help. Much appreciated. Hopefully we can figure something out, because I miss Usine.

I also cannot access the site.

Bsork- I tried your download link and that also didn't work. Thanks for letting Sensomusic know about the problem.

It's probably some problem inbetween you and sensomusic.com
I have no problem to access the site.

I think you should contact your ISP - you are supposed to reach all of Internet, but it appears you can't... frankly I'm surprise how selldom this happens...

In fact, I believe I have seen Olivier mention it somewhere that the issue is HIS ISP--I could be wrong, but I am almost sure I remember him saying that somewhere (like I said, I used to be able to get on his site). There are many people who can't get to his site. It's not just me.

And another question: how large, filesize-wise, is the download of the free version?

also: I should note that I am not married to Usine. I just like the modular aspect of it, and that you can assign your own MIDI controllers to ANY aspect of ANY VST. I just like to use it to setup a stupidly complex routing of freeware guitar software, Guitar Rig and Amplitube(s), so that I can use all of the effects and amp models from each that I like, and freely assign their controls to my MIDI pedalboard. Not to mention, I can make a custom interface in Usine for all of it. As far as I know, there are no other programs that give me all of these options, but I am certainly open to suggestions, especially if I can't even get access to usine any more.

The latest version (4.1 beta9) is 42,7 MB.

Sorry that the direct download idea didn't work. :(

As a quick idea, have you tried going to the site via a proxy server? I used to have one site I couldn't see because it kept timing out and going via a proxy server sorted it out for me. Look for myspace or facebook proxy on google. Might be worth a try.

Brilliant! It worked, although it's still not letting me download. I am, however, on the site, so good call there. I didn't even know such a thing was possible. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully I can find one that will let me download it.

Simultaneous posts. Thank you. That would be very helpful if he would do it.

Update: Unfortunately, the proxy thing doesn't look like it's going to work. I can connect to the page just fine, but none of the ones I tried will let me download. I imagine it's because of the 40 MB size. Good tip, though. Very close. I could almost taste it. Almost.

I guess let's hope for a mirror. Otherwise I may just be SOL until I move next month.

Beautiful! I can't wait to get home and download it.

Are you affiliated with Senso? Just curious, since you say "sorry for the inconvenience." Anyway, thanks a million times! Hopefully the issues can get resolved and it won't be necessary in the future. It's a shame to see a great program like Usine be inaccessable to some.
