Sorry for being newbie here, but I have looked all over and cannot find an answer. How do you turn off and on the built in GM sounds. I don't know what I did to get the piano playing in the background, but I can't get it to turn off. I have to reload the default session.

Hi larrythethird,
Not exactly sure what is going on there but a couple of things:
* Cantabile has no built in GM. Most likely, you've selected the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth as a MIDI device and this is generating the piano sound. If you don't need it (or as an experiment), try disabling this device in Options -> MIDI Devices.
* If this only happens with a specific session, check you have selected one of the rack's MIDI outputs to go to that device, or the default MIDI out device. Ie: click the output drop down for each rack and see where it's directed to.
Hope this helps, let me know if not...

Thank you. I think I had kind of figured it out.
