As a Mix Buss compressor, would this be useful on a Master Channel entire mix type compression?
Just looking for something to fatten up my DnB songs!!!
Would this impart a smooth level of circuit type grit to the music?
How does it compare to other Plugs out there such as GC0-1 for example?

Obviously i can not speak for AndyMadness wrote:As a Mix Buss compressor, would this be useful on a Master Channel entire mix type compression?

I already have many compression plug-ins to hand (including Waves take on the SSL Bus Comp): The Glue is a definte must have for me
bmanic has more compressor's than you could shake a stick at and even the finnish compression madman is extremely eager!
Andy has implemented a range control specifically for flexability, stick it on anything you like with also zero latency processing. It is also a for want of a better word an 'inbeetwener' of the E-Series & G-Series flavour (bonus!)
THE VALUE FOR MONEY IS AWESOME
It will fatten up your DnB songs im pretty darn certain and with auto-release and a sensible attack time i should think it does smooth with ease. Then you have both an internal Side-Chain with filter and an external Side-Chain with filter inputs - almost an electronic beats heavy-orientated mix essential.
Can't speak for them myself as i do not use them but the Comp's built into FXpansion's BFD2 which Andy coded are popular as mentioned in this thread - they are 'lite' in comparison to this one with a complete code from the ground up re-write
Then consider getting a little more creative:
For example say stick (Sic) an instance of either Brainworx Music's BX Solo or Voxengo's MSED before and after The Glue and you have instant Mid/Side (or lat/vert) fuctionality (Both mentioned plug-ins are free)
Also try Sticking (Sic) two instances of The Glue on the same track with the first set with fast attack and release times and then the second with longer attack and release times for even more dynamic control and remember that range knob
Checkout the audio examples
Even upload an uncompressed snippet of your own audio and ask Andy to Glue it > he will probably be happy to process it for you i reckon

This is only true if you run two mono instances of The Glue, each processing their own channels, left respective right. A stereo instance of The Glue does not work in dual-mono or any kind of left/right averaging mode (AFAIK), which means that sticking it between a mid/side matrix would result in no change to ordinary stereo operation.NEKRO.MACHINE wrote: For example say stick (Sic) an instance of either Brainworx Music's BX Solo or Voxengo's MSED before and after The Glue and you have instant Mid/Side (or lat/vert) fuctionality
Just wanted to clear this up.

but nothing is stopping from using something like rs-met crossover and using the glue as multiband, for example. also remember that the glue has sc inputs so keying of the multiband can be detached from audio splitting
