Ignore those philistines. The rest of us love it. :)

Bootsy,

As usual this is an amazing plug-in. CPU usage is not that much on my AMD 64 3200+ XP. Load times are perfect: less than 2 ms. Graphics are displayed ok as far as I have been able to test.

I've experienced crashes after closing REAPER when running multiple instances of ALL your plug-ins and BootEQmkII is not the exception.

1) Load REAPER
2) Insert a track
3) Insert 3 BootEQmkII instances
4) Close reaper after saving (it happens too if you choose not to save)

Some seconds later Windows shows me a crashing report indicating that BootEQmkII was the culprit. This happens with ALL your plug-ins. if you're interested in the report here you can see it:

CRASH REPORT

NOTE: I've had some words with one of Reaper's developers and he told me that it seems that REAPER crashes when trying to close a second or third instance of the plug-in.

Thanks again for your effort and kindness providing us with Top Quality audio processors.

Ditto the above complaint for me in Acid Home Studio with all your plugs.
I still think, your punctuation sucks, and your spelling isn't cool! So there...

I downloaded this today and used it on a track , this is s very flexible EQ . Thanks for another amazing vst. I also discovered density today and found immediate application on a track. YOu've got a great ear for design. The sounds are very impressive and the guis are also world class. I am a fan. - Scotty

Limeflavour,

Try inserting several instances in different tracks (more than 3) and then go removing them one by one... that's another way to reproduce a crash. Right now I'm in the middle of a mixing session and it has crashed about 6 times when I try to remove them, I hope Bootsy can solve this.

Mercado > Yes, 3 or more MKII's on the same track does crash Reaper.
If you got time can you also try this?
-new project
-load 1 MKII in the mixer
-Ctrl drag the MKII to copy it to the other mixerslots

By using this way Reaper does not crash at all when exiting (atleast for me).

The above REAPER reports are confrimed here as well :(
Also: does not need to be an empty project.

Not to belittle any bug reports, but I can't help thinking of that old joke:
The old grandmother calls the police, claiming there's a naked man in the neighbour's garden. The policeman arrives, looks out of the window - nothing. The old woman replies: Well, you have to climb on top of the wardrobe and you'll see him clearly !
What on earth do you need 3 instances of BootEQ on a single track for ?
Just wondering ...

Hehe, just today I had 3 instances of BootEQ on 2 tracks. Like this: 1 instance for the preamp section alone. 2nd: Low cut. Then I wanna do some boost below 100Hz: third instance. Wanna boost or cut anything beyond 12dB? Fourth instance ...
No joke, with this quality of the eq I wish for a Q knob on all bands. :hihi:

What?

Nice one!
I really like the saturation-part of it (though the Tube-effect is so weak, that it can't be heard).

The GUI is especially nice on this one. It has this photo-realistic look, but is still very clear and well layed out (the colors help a lot as well).

Well ... I'll try the EQ section as well .. some day. :D

No doubt you CAN work that way and get sensible results.
Whether it's inevitable is a different question, for example I absolutely love (not only) the filters in NastyCS (to keep in the bootsie universe), its EQ and saturation are different but equally useful to my ears, horses for courses imho.
That said, a bug's a bug, and knowing bootsie's perfectionism you'll not have to wait long for a fix.
In the meantime simply avoid climbing up on the wardrobe.

It was just a simple way to reproduce the crash. It doesn't matter if you insert it in 3, 4 or 5 different tracks: it crashes. It also crashes when you try to remove them one by one or try to set them offline.

OK, that's different then.

imho the saturation in this plug is probably some of the best i've heard in software.. i tried it today in some full mixes and it sounded really really good, very subtle and not fatiguing at all (to me at least, but then i love all kinds of distortion).. well done really!
booteq mkii could do a nice job as a rough tone-shaper in mastering applications i think..
