BTW Tim.... Your environmental presets have all oscillator 3 enabled, with a saw wave - but it is not used in the audio output. These oscillators should be disabled to reduce cpu usage...

OK...guess I missed that! I am getting used to turning off OSC and flattening ENV now. I will fix and send it back to you...unless you want to do it. Its a fairly quick fix.Big Tick wrote:BTW Tim.... I'll do it, but I wanted to tell people who already downloaded the bank.

Now this is the best bank Rhino has. Period.
I am a pad freak and these sounds have just floated me to pad heaven.
Rhino is just getting better all the time and sounds way more expensive than it is. Simply spellbinding
Can't go on using superlatives like this...
Thanks to Tim and Tick, as always.

Nice going Tim! Thanks for the work...
say, for the 'pad freaks'... if you want some ear-fun, you might enjoy what I do... for example even just with Rhino... I like to load a few instances of it into Chainer 1.03 VST [www.xlutop.com]... in this way you can create a mix of several pads very simply and if you have the cpu for it can also create way more via FX and sends along the Chainer channels...
If you care to try or test what I'm suggesting you can get a demo of Chainer at the site... it won't save a preset of what you create, but still you can have a ton of "ear-fun"...

Good suggestion Max.
Chainer is great for this . If you get the demo you can actually render to soundfont. It's hit and miss but most of the time they come out sounding good.
I just bought some software this month so I think Rhino will be my next purchase , The demo sounds great and I hear nothing but praise for it.
Mush

I would say to anyone using vst and vsti items, that for instruments, Rhino should be top of the list just because it's so "huge"... it's a truely great synth and gets better and better with each version. I don't mean to say there are not other great and important VSTi's out there also... there surely ARE! ...but Rhino is unique in IMHO.
Chainer should be equal in "I NEED to HAVE it" buys... because with it, when you can save presets, it becomes a whole new ball game for using VSTi's...
I know I'm OT here but will shut up in a sec, cuz I'm only really 'half' Off Topic.
..see, here's a couple thoughts to combine Rhino and Chainer:
1- so clearly, if you create a wav file you like, you could use it to load into Rhino to then modify and create other sounds, right?
Ok well Chainer will export not only sf2's but also wav's... and will also allow for very fast randomization of VSTi presets with it's "Preset Lab" functions.... and when you can save the presets for both a total loading of Chainer and also for each of it's channels, it allows one to very rapidly call up entirely new sounding 'instruments' that are made of several existing VSTi's and VST's...
Now here's a trick in Chainer I will share with you... it's a little joy I discovered one day.
Chainer won't load DX plugin's...right? WRONG, it will mostly with this helper:
if you go to the Vincent Burrel Audio web site... [vb-audio.com] and get his freeware 'demo' of his FFX-4 Rack 1.0 DX/VST Plugin.. and load that into Chainer... you can then load most DX plugins inside that "Rack"... way handy!!!! you can't load DXi, just DX fx.
So think about anyone: with Chainer, Rhino, and even with just all the free DX and VST fx that are around.. you would have a killer set of tools to make endless sound creations!!!!
LOL.... ok.... see that wasn't really so far OT, eh?

I think that this is the best bank yet.
Not sure if I'm talking out of my arse (again
), but I like the digital quality of these pads and of the Rhino sound as a whole.
It makes for a good counter to all of the analogue out there (not that analogue's a bad thing, just a little saturated...)
As soon as I finish my current "opus" I am going to use some of the sounds on this bank in my next track
With Tim's contributions, Rhino has become enormous and long may it continue !
Many thanks
