Which are the Rockabilly (RB) drums?

Hey folks,

We should probably have a dedicated thread or permanent page to definitively state which kits go with which grooves and also which grooves have the same content as previously released grooves under a different name. Squids answered a lot of those questions in the last two GB pages, but I failed to cut and paste all the information... and now going back through a hundred pages seems like a daunting task. Was anyone smart enough to collect it while it was being posted?

In any event, my specific need at the moment is to find out which, if any, of the current groove packs contain the same content as the Multitrack Rockabilly (RB) Drums which were included in a Studio ProFiles Special Edition Group Buy from back in February of 2006 (yes... 3 years ago).

I used those drums in a project which I am now fine-tuning, and I need some more groove options (and maybe a matching kit) for those Rockabilly drums (which only came with 3 grooves). I have a feeling that I probably already own more of those drums in some of the other eSoundz paks that I have purchased, but I have been unable to determine which ones.

Does anyone know where I can find some of the matching content?

In case it might help, these are two of the files from the Rockabilly set...

OH L RB123_011
and
OH L RB127_013

Just from the naming convention used, I know there must be a bunch of other RB takes and/or grooves... but I don't have any other grooves labelled RB on my system.

Thanks in advance! :tu:

Gotta bump this thread.

Because I am trying to finalize the drum track on this song, I have put further work on hold until I can get an answer to this. Come on Squids! You must know which pak ended up with these grooves and their companions... either you changed the names or you haven't actually released these RB grooves.

The MT Blues grooves are one of the few paks that I didn't select for download. Could the Rockabilly grooves be the same as those ones? So far the Motown grooves seem the closest, but they are not a match.

Thanking you in advance, :-)

The Rockabilly sessions haven't been released yet. They're full band, not just drums. There isn't a dedicated kit for it but I believe it was the Blues kit that was used so that should be the closest to match although I'm not sure. The Rockabilly material will be released in the next batch of Infinite Player material as a Konstruction Pak (since it is a construction kit) and possibly as a RAW title sooner. It may be mixed in with a "Jazz Swing" title perhaps. Not sure yet. It's not released as anything else in any other formats with a different name though.

Thanks Squids. I appreciate the response.

Knowing that it might be a bit of a wait, I have already gone ahead and mostly resolved my issue by performing a little surgery. I have kept the existing RB audio in place, but have filled the silent gaps (which contained some unwanted beats) with filler material from another snare. This has fixed the problem to my satisfaction while allowing me to maintain the tone of those RB drums which I did not want to replace. :-)

And yes... the MT Blues Kit is indeed the closest match.

Great! Yeah, I can't wait until those Rockabilly konstruction grooves are released. It's going to be cool. There's also some Swing stuff as well that has never been released but is cool as well with multitrack horn lines and everything. All sorts of stuff coming for Infinite Player!
