Well I look forward to both but the audio demos of The Glue have convinced me that this is indeed the bomb. I looking very much forward to abusing it in all kinds of wicked ways. MMmmmmmm external sidechain input.. I love it! :D

Cheers!

Andy any chance of sticking up audio files in comparison to other compressors?

So for example, using the same audio file apply different compressors with the same settings. That way we can get a real sense of how natural sounding it is. Especially compared to UAD and PSP plug-ins.

where the heck is this thing? The website has the little yellow speaker dude......but there is no more info.

However, the marketing is great :hihi:

Glue is a sticky substance, looks like it got stuck somewhere in the pipeline..... :?

It's not late: Q1 isn't over yet.

It feels like it is. :(

I'm going to be optimistic and hope to see it tomorrow.

I think he means "analog" sounding. The only way to make even the best compressors sound truly natural is to turn them off.

Post

Haha I have no idea what that means either. Maybe that it adds some whispers of trees and birds or is it the same as transparent?

this is becoming an epic thread... great marketing indeed. got me hooked for shure.

I've been using the word natural instead of transparent since you still want it to sound compressed, but the compression you hear enhances what is in the sound that if you hadn't heard the original you would just think it sounded like that.

Top analog compressors have this kind of sound, at almost all settings they impart a useful variation on the sound. To me a natural sounding compressor is one that puts you in control of creative decisions rather than forcing you to scrap around for ages to find a setting that doesn't ruin your audio too much. Ring any bells?

we are end users, we don't want science, we want plugins that sound like good hardware,

Andy, do know if Joel used 'The Glue' on the vocals in "I Remember"? They sound absolutely HUGE!
