hey squids...first of all want to congratulate you on all the groupbuys...and happy new year!

anyway...I've brought this up before, but since most of us here understand you're pretty darn close to IK, with all these groupbuys and IK deals going on....I'm a pretty disappointed as I've still yet to see an IK deal for those who own the "full-meal-deal" Total Studio Bundle package or even multiple IK plugins. Why is this??

If you see Spectrasonics...they at least give a better deal for say Omnisphere...if you own 1,2 or all 3 of their VST plugins. So the more you own...the better deal you get. This is actually quite smart and very much geared towards repeat business, but I don't get that feeling from IK as it seems it doesn't matter how much you own of IK stuff...it's all based on a one-on-one crossgrade deal, but no consideration for those who own 1,2,3,4 or the whole shebang.

Sometimes if you contact people (allen) at (@) great IK dealers (esoundz.com) directly they work with you. I don't think my encoding is too hard to crack there :)

LOL...of course that's a viable suggestion, buscemi, but I'm not that selfish kind of person who would email any developer asking for a "special deal" that would benefit me only...I just wouldn't do that, so I'm speaking on behalf of anyone who owns the full meal deal Total Bundle or just multiple plugins here via another bundle or bought separately.

As well...I've dropped mention of it before to Squids here maybe a couple of times over a course of a year or 2 as well, but no news since and really...IK is big enough now that they should have better crossgrade deals for those of us who own all or some of their stuff instead of us having to grab better deals via some groupbuy or time-limited deals.

I would love to see a special option for those who owns everything up to T-Racks3 Deluxe aswell :)

I have all of IK's products (not in any bundles, but as separate products, and even some duplicates.. :dog: ) and the only thing I dont have is the T-Racks3 Deluxe.

Can't benefit from the new GB without ending up with more duplicates :?

Even though it wasn't the correct advice right up there before, I know you can also contact IK and let them know you have all but one and want to see if they can do anything for you. Crossgrade price at esoundz is great too.

Would be a good idea. All VIs and effects but DeLuxe and the new AT Fender here. (I even have all three versions of ST, due to group buys...) I guess many long-time users of IK and eSoundz are in the same situation, so they do not get much value for the GBs like the current one. (Luckily, on the other hand. Nice not having to take part in every GB ;) )

What about a group buy including DeLuxe or AT Fender by the way?

Honestly, between getting a DEAL (a killer deal) for the individual pieces of something like a Total Studio Bundle -AND- being able to get crossgrades (okay for everyone, no special extras for those that buy Total bundles) I think that's MORE rewarding than any other company offers.

Your reward for getting the whole shebang IS that it is cheaper than getting all of those products individually. If you bought the Total Studio Bundle individually it would cost over 2 times as much! So, that in my opinion has to be appreciated. IK isn't the only company that does that. Waves, NI and others that have a lot (we also offer it in our SR Gold bundles) do and I think it is a very fair way of rewarding the customer who loves it all. If you can get crossgrades on top of that? I don't see the problem. Also, I don't see any other company doing MORE than that... but even if they did, each company has their reasons and there's only so much that can be done when you do still have to be a profitable business to carry on.

That said, at esoundz & SR we always try to push the envelope on rewarding customer loyalty as much as we can... membership levels the more you buy the better discount on esoundz and of course epointz where the more active you are in referring people the more "epointz" you get to apply toward purchases. But this is an advanced modern system that not every company can do or is thinking of doing. But more and more companies like IK are doing things that take all of their users into consideration, not to mention incentives to keep the ball rolling and people buying so... no one's perfect but I think IK offers great ways to get into their products even if you're on a budget... not to mention the great group buys we're able to do together like the one we have going on right now!

Well, it's a 2-way street, Squids...sort of like the Groupbuys = by the company offering a total bundle for a cheaper price and we get all the plugs = the company also gets the money from us...up front. So...it's not just a deal for us only...it's also a reward to the company to get alot more of our money at that point in time rather than a customer buying single versions at various points in time (or never).

While you make the crossgrade deal seem like a great deal, but from where I'm standing....it looks as though most of the plugins outside of the Total Studio Bundle are not offered in crossgrades. Among others, the following are NOT available in Crossgrades and are not part of the Total Studio Bundle; also not to mention if someone has another plug and wants one of the below via a crossgrade:

Amplitube Fender PreOrder
Amplitube Metal
Amplitube Jimi Hendrix
SampleMoog
SampleTron

Since you guys at Esoundz offer a bunch of other stuff, the point system makes sense and is a nice idea and to help promote yourself, but I'm just purely talking about IK plugs here and the upgrade/crossgrade path for them.

BTW - I just came across this in the Bargains forum. Go figure..
