If you've never heard Blut Aus Nord before, you're in for a treat. The Work Which Transforms God is probably a good album to start with.Az're-ul wrote:"a black metal band... who have incorporated elements of the avant-garde" - sounds intriguing, tagged for laterIan SDZH wrote:Dialog with the Stars by my bestest band in the whole world - Blut Aus Nord
While there's not necessarily a whole lot of what I'd call avant-garde mixed in with their black metal (for that sort of thing, check out Gnaw Their Tongues), they definitely aren't your standard cookie-cutter group, either.

My tastes in music tend towards the eclectic so my knowledge of metal is a little skewed as I tend to stick to what I like best - doom, sludge & black/death (Scandinavian more so than US)
Some of the metal sub-genres like tech slam (WTF?) do absoultely nothing for me

"enter to the realm of satan"
To be fair, it's not big Phil Larkin or owt.....but he never played a riff as good as that, and the c**t was from Hull.
