Thank God for this thread. I have been much too shy to ask myself. But now we are at it, can someone please tell me what the best free synth for trance is? I want to become a famous producer and I have heard that trance is most easy style of music to make. Is that true by the way? If it is not, do you think I should buy Fruity Loops and make Hip Hop instead? However some say that I actually should buy Sonar because it sounds best of all daws, so maybe I should do that instead?
Which one do you think is the best daw? I would also like to know if you think I should buy a Mac or a PC, which one is best? I further be SO grateful, if you could tell me which one is the best emulation softsynth, you know the ones with the most analog sound. However, some say that softsynth can not emulate analog synth and that I should stick to hardware,
so what do you think is best: Hardware or software, analog or digital? Maybe I should just buy a Virus? Finally, do you have any adwise which bit-rate and sample-rate I should make music at? I am so confused because there are so many choices
Thank you SO much in advance, I know the KVR community will not let me down on this one.

It is true. Trance is ridiculously easy to make. Absolutely no talent or creativity required.I want to become a famous producer and I have heard that trance is most easy style of music to make. Is that true by the way?
You should, and make sure to post your very own "how to make beats using Fruity Loops" tutorial on YouTube. If it is not, do you think I should buy Fruity Loops and make Hip Hop instead?

This one hardly ever gets mentioned, but I've always thought it was one the nicest sounding freeware synths: Daedalus

Sounds great and easy to use for a beginner.

I got great sounds out of Voyager but it made my system so unstable I abandoned it. Has anyone else had this problem with it? Nothing crazy here, just a Toshiba Laptop with xp pro sp2, 2 gighz core duo , 2 gig o ram.. Live 7.Prevalence wrote:Voyager has some amazing sounds.....
