Have you heard this thing? It would be tempting at twice the price. For $99 it's a no brainer.

At twice the price, it would be half as tempting. 8)

I need to try this before labeling it as the bomb. Would Andy be able to make a bunch of examples with Reacomp or Crunchessor that would blow minds? A lot has to do with the engineer, and The Glue won't give everyone instant Godly mixes...

or will it?

Yes, you can consider it as $100 off already, since others are charging $200 for their products ;)

I still need to think about the best approach to launch with regards price / demo versions etc.

You can thank the original hardware with regards the sound. It does enhance what is already in the source material you put through it with minimal effort. It's just a matter of taste as to how much attack thwack, and release lift you are after. Of course it cannot perform magic on poor source material, a bad song is a bad song no matter how well produced.

A great quote from Julian Storer, writer of Tracktion and the Juce gui framework I'm using for The Glue is: "Holy s$*t, it just makes everything sound better. I've never heard that in a (software) compressor before, how did you do it?"

dude theres so much hype out there no that no matter what way you go it'll sell. you could discreetly release it now and tell no-one and i guarantee within minutes the bloody world would know.. and in fairness judging on the audio demos i hope you sell bucketloads!

oh i forgot, im angry with you :hihi:.. i have a college hand up tomorrow and i was hoping for a release earlier this week as i wanted to use it on the track instead of mcdsp analog ch.

+1!!! :hihi: IMO I don't think you should even worry about the demo until after you release it because you're going to have plenty of revenue from people that already know they want to purchase it. After you get all those sales focus on making the demo for anyone that is questioning it and wants to try it out first.

The demo method that seems to translate into the most sales with me is the 14-day fully functioning method. I've bought a lot of plugins because they ended up in projects that way.

After that, you could always try the 14 days approach without recall. This way people can hear it without being able to use it in projects. Then after 14 days add a nag screen and have the sound fade out twice a minute.

The only effects plugs I bought, besides Nebula, were because they made it onto a record and I needed access to them past the demo period.

That is also a great idea.

Wow. There's a ringing endorsement! RELEASE IT! RELEASE IT! RELEASE IT! RELEASE IT!

Strict demo limitations is incredibly dumb since they make you loose interest really quickly. Don't think I need a demo to buy this one though.

A March 2nd release would be amazing!

Just think, this could be yours tomorrow!
