What a shock this is. I cannot belive it. Tim was such warm generous and person, who more than a few times rescued me from bouts of confusion. I will miss his talent for clear and entertaining explanations.

Thanks Tim for making this a better place.

This is incredibly sad news. Reading the title of this post shocked me. I never corresponded with him but I read his name and his posts many times and I found many of his presets on some of the plugins I own...
Sometimes I still think of Arguru, as I happen to find his name in many DSP-related places over the internet and I still feel sad for him, although I never corresponded with him either.

Tim, Arguru, may you rest in Peace. Your presence on this Earth left a sign, and we all thank you for what you did.

What?!? This cannot be. This is the first thing I'm reading this morning while checking email and here at KVR. I am shocked and very very saddened. :(

Except that the original post came from Ben at Camel Audio, my first reaction would have been that this was some sort of typical KVR "kiddie" joke. Alas, it is a sad day.

Tim was extremely talented and a real inspiration in terms of how far one can push synthesis. His Starscape soundset for Absynth and Atomic were amongst the very very best musical purchases I made last year. Besides his sound contributions he was always very helpful in these forums and a pleasure to converse with. He will be missed around here on many levels.

My best thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones.

KVR Ben... this merits a news posting on the front page and a little "in memoriam" note from you, don't you think???

This is truly unexpected and sad news.
He had been such a devoted and talented guy so this is a terrible loss indeed.
May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family.

I'm sure it will but I'm guessing he'd post something as soon as he saw this thread so he's probably not even seen the news yet. It is Sunday, he's probably not surfing the net.

I'm am taken aback to say the least.

Didn't know him but for the usual interactions around this place and through Camel, through his enthusiasm and tireless work exploring synths and sounds.

KvR has lost a invaluable voice.

The thread length testifies to how important Tim was to the soft synth community. I've never met him, but I will miss him. We are all at loss. God speed Tim.

This is a complete complete shock. I really have no words. I've not yet read in the previous pages but if there is any initiative coming from KVR to do something for Tim's family, I would definitely like to be a part of that. Though I was not as close with Tim as many of you were, over the years in my limited dealings with him, I can tell you that I have never met anyone nicer...and not only will we miss Tim, but we'll miss his talents in music and sound design too. I know you must be enjoying the stars from where you sit now, Tim! We'll miss you.
