AFAIR, SAM is based on a Logic engine (or I'm mixing things up in my mind). If you have a dedicated MIDI device, it would enable that as the default MIDI out as well.koolkeys wrote:The only difference is that at work I had my MIDI controller plugged in, and now I don't.
I see.koolkeys wrote:I did already confirm that the MS GS Software Wavetable Synth was disabled. Actually, I checked that early on.
Point being, that - since it's not needed for A4A operation - it would be interesting to know whether the problem still exists after you made sure there is no instance of "audiodg.exe" running (and after an ASIO driver reset, as above.)koolkeys wrote:I'll check that. I'm at work and don't have my MIDI controller with me. So I'll test it when I get home. Without it plugged in, everything works fine. So I have no way to tell if it's "working" here. I'll post back later.wuschel wrote:Point being, that - since it's not needed for A4A operation - it would be interesting to know whether the problem still exists after you made sure there is no instance of "audiodg.exe" running (and after an ASIO driver reset, as above.)koolkeys wrote:I'll check that. Hehe, same reply as on Samp forums:siriusbliss wrote:Brent, is your input monitoring turned on?
How about the monitoring in your plugins (if it's a VST synth). Is that turned on?
What happens if temporarily turn on record monitoring?

He's a stalker, I tell you.Hink wrote:hey brent something really stranged happen, I just saw a guy online with the same name as you
Well, I think it's only an issue when using ASIO4ALL on some systems, because it's related to the audio system in some way. So it can conflict with it. Since ASIO4ALL just uses onboard sound, you have to turn it off sometimes.siriusbliss wrote:I've personally never had a problem leaving the MS GS Software Wavetable Synth turn on in the MIDI config. - I just ignore it most of the time.![]()
