I have my yamaha clavinova acting as the midi device. MDA piano is my vst and I just want to record the piano as either midi or wav.
Midi:
When I record the midi file using cantabile lite and open it in Synthfont (using WST25FStein_00Sep22 as the soundfont)the sound is garbled and in what seems like slow motion. It also frequently crashes the synthfont program.
Audio:
The same thing seems to happen to the audio file. I double click the recorded wav to listen to it in mediaplayer, and it sounds like it is garbled (for lack of a better word).
The best option for me would be if the midi recording would work, but I am open to a solution for both issues if possible. Let me know if you'd like me to email an example file of the wav or midi file.
Thanks.

Hi namicus,
The problem with MIDI recording I'm working on as we speak. The problem is Cantabile records real time (SMPTE) as opposed to musical time stamp events. Many MIDI players don't support this format which probably why you're having problems with it.
The audio problem I've not heard of. Would you mind sending me a small recording that illustrates the problem and I'll investigate. Grab my contact email from http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/contact .
In either case, do the files play back properly if loaded into Cantabile?
Brad

Build 2017 is out now and for Lite, MIDI records in a new "compatible" time format. Should work with just about any other MIDI player.
Also, any more info on the problem with audio recording?

Thanks Brad. I sent you the files you requested.
I have installed V. 2017 and the same thing happens. I also installed V1.2 and the same thing happens. I haven't had the chance to read the recorder link you posted but will do so tomorrow. Thanks for your support.
