I loved Tim's spacey Cameieon sounds, Such shocking news. How fragile life can be.

My sincere condolences to those left behind who were close to Tim.

Post

The news that Tim passed away filled me with great sorrow. As most of people in this thread, I was always struck by Tims calm and gentle manners and that he always tried to help. I was always astonished how he could do all the things he did. He created software, soundsets, helped librating old Atari software and helped out with support. And all of these things he did with the highest possible quality.

I never knew Tim on a personal level - but he was one of those persons I always felt I knew without actually knowing them, and the times we emailed each other, he was always very kind and constructive.

Death is such a huge subject and always reminds us of our own limited time. I do not believe in a life after this, but if there is, Tim knows. My thoughts are with the family and hope they find strength.

Post

I still can't believe it.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Sometimes The Supreme Being comes to Earth to collect the best of men and turn them into Angels!

To many believers Death is not end of life but a new beginning!

Best of love to his friends and family!

My name is Craig; Tim's younger brother. In trying to find some answers today, I "google" Tim's name and found your site and all of you talking about how
Tim has helped you on your journey to love the music... I do not play (although Tim tried to teach me many, many times) It is so cool and humbling to see how he has effected so many people in the world. This site is very specail!

Tim was at my home last Saturday and was teaching my oldest daughter a few chords.. He also wrote a song for my wife Anne ( posted on the site). I read all your posts and a huge smile comes on my face and I thank you for that.

Please keep the music... for those who Tim touched... pass it on! please teach someone what you learned. Tim would think that is so very cool!!

Cheers,
Craig C.
Craig C.,
Thanks for taking the time to sign-up and post. I hope that your family and friends find all the strength, inspiration and support they need to get through what must be a difficult time.

You should note, that not only is this thread impressive in its length and sincerity, there are people posting on here that I haven't seen 'round these parts in a dog's age, and just about every heavy hitter developer/programmer/sound designer that has ever signed up for an account. It's a real testament to Tim's spirit that so many of his peers and cohorts have posted.

OMG,
believe it or not,
I'm not that often here any more (not having much time right now) and when I came here today I thought let's hope that there is no message on the death of someone here (maybe it was just a feeling) :(
I enjoyed Tim's Patches a lot and he was a very very nice guy, had a little exchange through this forum a while ago.

RIP, dear Tim!

This is a terribly sad shock.

Though I never met Tim I must have exchanged thousands of emails with him over the years through working with Camel Audio during development of camelphat 3, camelspace and cameleon patches and so on. He was always massively enthusiastic, patient and friendly and never had a bad word about anything and would go out of his way to do things for other people.

Of course he was also one of the most talented patch designers around and was a massive inspiration to me and many others through his patches for cameleon, crystal, rhino and more. He seemed to be able to get a sound out of a synth that no one else could - you always knew a Tim patch when you heard it!

After a 'work' email conversation between us became massively off topic discussing the origins of his beloved stars we'd said we would meet up one day over a beer and discuss these things face to face, but I'll never get that chance now, sadly.

RIP Tim - I'll look out for you up there amongst the stars and galaxies when I look up at the stars.

Jim
