I purchased Crossfade Loop Synth v3 3 days ago and am happy w/it.

Thank you for creating this somewhat unusual VST instrument. (I mean that in a good way) ;) The styling is a bit weird, but I focus more on sound, of course. I just created a song with it having industrial favor, otherwise it's an ambient track. I have to hold down the volume levels a lot with this neat instrument... :!:

May I suggest an improvement, perhaps an update? Do you consider important that the sample player supports 24-bit samples? I buy COMPUTER MUSIC Magazine regularly and they provide 24-bit samples. Especially I would like to use drum loops with the Crossfade Loop Synth because interesting sounds could be had by looping very short chunks of kick drums and stuff like that. I have good conversion software available, so maybe I shouldn't even make this suggestion...

On the other hand, this plug-in has pretty good CPU usage using 16-bit samples. That's very important, because I have a Toshiba laptop with a 1.6 GHz Celeron-M (yes, single-core processor).

Keep up the good work! Respect. :)

Glad you like it!

As far as I'm aware it does already support 24 bit samples. If you can send me a 24 bit sample file that it won't load, I'll see if I can fix it.

Here's a file by The Electronic Garden found in COMPUTER MUSIC Magazine, Issue No. 134. It's 44.1 kHz, 24-bit mono.

The Crossfade Loop Synth v3 brings up a dialog which says "Cannot handle the format of that file."

For the record, I checked out a 16-bit mono file and it loads in OK. :)

Maybe it has to do with some programs like Cubase which add chunk information to a wave file? I'm saying this because Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio 8 refused to save any of those files if they were modified.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I had to remove the file... :hihi:

Fixed in v3.1.1, now released.

I should have said much earlier that with the edition of the plug-in I have at the moment (before the fix), I was able to import a 24-bit file I created. The main music applications I use are REAPER and ACID Pro.

Thank you for your assistance.
