Hi!
Today is a happy day for Stylus RMX users !!! I just got an email from Spectrasonics to tell that version 1.7 of the Stylus RMX is out, with the brand new and quite revolutionary feature: Time Designer (makes it possible to change the time signature of any loop in RMX and much more...) There is a video of it and it is really impressive!
Update is available on Spectrasonics website There is a Receptor specific update too, but I haven't tried yet. I was wondering if I'd better install Receptor OS v1.7 first (I still have the 1.6)...
Enjoy

Wow, it seems that there are a few problem out there... sorry guys, I have no solution for you, just a few suggestions:
What version of RMX did you have before the update ? 1.0 or 1.5.1c 1.6?
Have you also installed the 1.7 Data files? It is said that it is necessary for update...
What is your Receptor OS version? If not done yet, you should try to update to the latest version and try again.
Hope this helps... Keep in touch if you sort this out!

Can't you be more precise? I've read what was written on Spectrasonics' website, therefore my questions in the previous post... I don't think I missed anything.
What should we read and be all aware of? Come on, tell us!

Hi guys,
I followed the usual instructions for installing the new 1.7 on Receptor, copying the DLL to the usual place, and the SAGE folder over. When I try to instantiate RMX, it comes up with the authorization screen, but the challenge code is only 3 characters, and they're gibberish (they look like code or something). Obviously, this code doesn't work when I try to authorize on the Spectrasonics site.
Please help asap! I'm supposed to be using Receptor with RMX in a day or two on a gig!

I heard back from Spectrasonics, basically saying "we don't support Receptor", so I'm hoping to hear from a Muse employee soon...
I've put the 1.5 plugin back on, and that seems to be working for now, but I really want the ability to play in other time signatures!

Same boat here.Watto wrote:Hi guys,

I'm unable to get Stylus RMX 1.7.1e to install on my Rev C Muse Receptor (OS 1.7.20080616).
I read the instructions at http://www.plugorama.com/downloads/Styl ... lation.pdf . (Note: I skipped the "Prep install" part of the process, as instructed at http://www.plugorama.com/customer/produ ... t=0&page=1 )
After that, I copied the StylusRMX.dll file to <ReceptorHD>\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins\Spectrasonics\Stylus RMX, replacing the previous StylusRMX.dll file from my last successful installation. (I believe it was Stylus RMX 1.5, but I'm not absolutely positive.)
I also copied the SAGE folder from my Samples HD to replace the SAGE folder at <Receptor HD>\Program Files\Spectrasonics.
I then opened to the Receptor SETUP window and check-marked the "include 'Unsupported Plugins' folder" box. However, the Installs box remained grayed out, reading "No Installs Pending."
I tried instantiating Stylus RMX in the Mixer of the Receptor Viewer application anyway, to see what would happen; and the Challenge/Response window came up. I tried clicking on the Challenge button, and it gave me a challenge that looked something like this: ~ : ||
I didn't even bother trying to use this challenge at the Spectrasonics website as it was obviously wrong. So I'm stuck, along with other early adopters, wondering what to do next.
Thanks, in advance, for any help.
Best,
Geoff

Surprising to read that, since Spectrasonics provided a specific dll for Receptor...Watto wrote:I heard back from Spectrasonics, basically saying "we don't support Receptor", so I'm hoping to hear from a Muse employee soon...
Anyway, has anyone tried to open a ticket on Plugorama website? If yes, please keep us informed!!!

I received an e-mail reply from Muse today saying that they were able to replicate the problem, but they're still working on a solution.
