Hi Peter.
Just spotted this beta, and have been trying it on my laptop, which has Cubase 5 & Vista 32bit.
Having some problems with the large wave display in the loop tabs.
When loading the factory loops, very often the large display comes up empty.
The small display is always ok.
If I load 3 loops into 3 loop players, maybe 2 will come up empty, the third will be ok.
If I then close the RMV Gui, fiddle in Cubase, & return to the RMV loop tab, sometimes one of the other displays will now be ok.
Saving the whole project & restarting normally causes ALL 3 loops big displays to come up empty.. (they play ok though).

Another odd thing .. if I load any factory loop, then goto the "Reload Sample" menu item, I get a message saying the sample cannot be found (though it was playing ok) .. (maybe me being stupid though ?? maybe you don't normally reload unless you've edited something externally first ??)

Otherwise, so far, looking good here.

Thanks Tony, I'll double check these ...

Noticed the beta on the download page is no longer marked as a beta. Any changes or is it the same one ?

Hi Peter

I have the same sort of graphic issues - sporadic and unpredictable appearance of the waveforms. Sometimes I get the waveform in the pads often I don't. Loops are the same - but the smaller display of the waveform in loop view is normally just fine. Whenever I do get the waveform up in the pads if I then close the plug and reopen it, invariably the waveform is gone.

AU in Logic 8 Pro (latest update) - same thing in Live 6, MacPro 4 core Tiger 10.4.11. I went back and tried it in Logic 7 as well .............. same thing.

In the previous version, although I could see the pad waveforms I had great difficulty in seeing any adjustments made to the attack, decay and release etc. This problem (for me anyway) is still there.

Hi Peter

I've also found that when playing back loops, having dragged and dropped the associated midi clip into my sequencer (same thing in Live 6, Logic Pro 8 or Logic Express 8 ) if I close the RMV GUI after playing for some time I get this odd rythmic sound which sounds like the loop feeding back or something. This will disappear when I reopen the GUI. Odd thing on my MacPro is that it sounds like its a system noise as it is coming from the onboard speakers not my main monitors. Odd ...........

Right, reload not means to reload a sample (which is exactly as it was at load time) BEFORE you edit externally, but its to reload it after editing in an external editor.

Hi Peter,
Installed this version on Sonar 8, Vista x64. Boot up the first time fine, asking for serial number. Since I filled the serial number in, Sonar crashes every single time I open RMV. Reinstalled it, same issue.
Regards
Conrad

problem solved. After I opened Sonar 8 x64, opened RMV 8 and 32, filled in serial number closed Sonar 8 x64. Opened Sonar 8 x32, RMV working now whithout crashing.

Hi,

I recently added Kore2 to my musical arsenal and on testing this latest beta I found that the multi-out VST versions do not seem to be working properly... I have the S01 option only on both... tested them in Live and the extra outputs are available there but not in Kore2.

Would be very grateful if you were able to look into this at some point.

The AU version works btw, though there is only a 8 x stereo/8 x mono option... the 8 x stereo/20 mono VST version would be my perfect output configuration! :)

Hi Peter: I would but I keep getting an error trying to download the update. I'm on Safari if that makes any difference (as a browser of course - not on holiday). I got very low transfer speed for a couple of attempts then the error. I'm in Brunei on a wickedly slow 1 meg connection.

Finally got it downloaded this morning and will hopefully have time tonight to give it a whirl. If the graphics issues are fixed I can finally put RMIV to bed for a well earned rest ;-))

The waveform graphics issues I was having and the funny clicking noise seem to be sorted out. Just the difficulty in seeing adjustments of attack, decay etc in the pad waveform to look at now. Maybe I am missing something myself but I find it next to impossible to see the changes.

Nice plug in RMV - very nice

So you think the contrast is too low, or what exactly makes it hard to see it ?

Peter

Yes, that's exactly the phrase I was looking for thanks. I've tried on a few different monitors including an Apple HD display and a MacBook Pro and the contrast is exactly the thing that is missing.
