I believe The Glue is modeled after a feed-forward VCA based compressor, famous for it's ultrafast attack time and has little to nothing to do with opto coupling nor feed-back topology, which gives very different compression characteristics.Slaghead wrote:That's what I mean really. Most plug-ins are too clean and sensitive for my liking... Even the Waves SSL Bus Comp mentioned earlier seems to suffer from a degree of what I call "shrieking", where it feels like it overreacts to sharp transients and low frequencies in more the way an Opto compressor would... Makes it difficult finding things I can really put over a mix with much freedom.
Well, I'm sure he doesn't mind it too much. It's great publicity. Other plug-in guys are looking at this page and going 'hey, we have compressors too, WTFMelodyMan wrote:I feel sorry for Andy. It's impossible to live up to this hype.
oh I;m sure people here at kvr will keep on praising it. After all it is not made by refx or someone else they don't like.MelodyMan wrote:I feel sorry for Andy. It's impossible to live up to this hype.
