This is probably my favorite free one although it hasn't made it to a song because other stuff sounds better.TristezaOrange wrote:Oatmeal!

But why? It sounds so fine even compared to payware synthsATS wrote:This is probably my favorite free one although it hasn't made it to a song because other stuff sounds better.TristezaOrange wrote:Oatmeal!

I just have to give a big shout out for SQ8L - it's one of the best vsti I've ever heard! The patches have so much more clarity and definition than so much that's out there. It's a simple thing, I know, but I just find the sound quality to be on another planet compared to most other freeware.

I do think Oatmeal's technical capabilities make it an excellent freeware synth, but it has yet to stay in any of my songs. Whenever I use Oatmeal for a track, I end up replacing it with a similar sound from another synth.

Just curious, what other synths do you end up using instead of oatmeal? I like Oatmeal, but keep using FM8, rhino, sometimes Kontakt myself.chj wrote:+1ATS wrote:I don't know why man, other stuff just sounds better that I have.TristezaOrange wrote:But why? I agree. Although I've only plaid with it a little. it has a warmth analog quality to it i would say. But I'd love it is he reworked the interface and have it bigger with as much control accessible on 1 page. If i can put it this way.Moe Shinola wrote:I just have to give a big shout out for SQ8L - it's one of the best vsti I've ever heard! Edited: I discovered this synth here on KVR in a "what the most underrated VSTi" thread. Cool place KVR.
What ever!
