Not much, if you don't care for the look of the thing. If you source carefully 150-200 bucks should be enough for the standard version. That's for all the components, PCBs, case and meter. Add 28 for the turbo kit, 10 or so for better electrolytics and 20 or so for better opamps (like the LM4562 or some decent OPA type).haudegen wrote:how much does the "high-end" version of the self made SSL cost?

Thanks Andy! I look forward to it.andy_cytomic wrote:That ball is in Digidesign's court at the moment, I'm still waiting for the official legal nod to be allowed to release an RTAS version, hopefully soon.justin3am wrote:In all seriousness, I'm really digging this thing. I'm using it right now to 'glue' a bass track to a drum bus and it's just what the doctor ordered. I thought I saw mention of an RTAS version at one point, any ETA?
Thanks.

Yes, they're high quality. Better be quick, they may not be availible much longer. Check the forum for it all: groupdiy.comhaudegen wrote:ok that sounds good. i looked at the gyraf site and there is a link to premaded PCB's . are they worth the money ?

Just spent some time on a mix with The Glue and it works great on electric bass. It's totally been worth the wait if you ask me.

If anyone has VSL Vienna Suite, any chance of doing a comparison between the compressor and the Glue?
Both are natural sounding so this will be a really good test to see how natural sounding the Glue is.
