Need help: Controller Assignments Crash

Hi everyone,
I need some help to resolve a reported crash in the MIDI Controller Assignments window. I've not been able to reproduce it though I have seen a crash dump for it but wasn't able to glean much information from it.
I'm not sure how to reproduce it except to say it seems to be related to a controller assignment to load sub-session (but perhaps not).
If you've got a few spare moments and don't mind giving me a hand could you please try this:
1. In Cantabile's diagnostic options, turn on the "Include Data Segments in crash dump" option.
2. Open the MIDI Controller Assignments window (the crash is actually in the code for this Window so it won't happen if this window is not open... or will it? I'll go check that)
3. Create some assignments to load next/previous sub-session (not session list)
4. Load a session with a bunch of sub-sessions (as complicated as you like)
5. Torture it with as many MIDI controller events as possible to try and get it to crash.
If it does crash, Cantabile should now automatically compose an email with the crash dump attached. Just hit Send.
Extra points for anyone who can find some rhyme or reason to it.
Brad

Hi Brad.
I have no real set up at hand right now... so I did a short virtual test under Win XP flipping subsessions via MidiYoke and virtual GM keyboard, triggering subsession changes from the keys there...
Could not see any crashes in either Build 2020 and 2021. But I also could not really torture that way... and my test subsession stuff is comparably simple.
Anyway, just a first response to your request...
P.S. Do you mean I should leave the assignments window somehow open during this test when you say the crashing code might be in there?

Thanks for trying this for me TiUser.
Actuall, I think just this second I've managed to reproduce it. It's related to RPN/NRPN controllers and the timing of them - they need to be several seconds apart and interleaved with normal controller events (ie: very obscure).
Will continue looking into it tomorrow.
Thanks again

...couldn't create RPN/NRPN with my test scenario... normal controllers seem to work... after midnight in down under, you definitely should have some sleep...

OK, I've figured this out and it will be fixed in build 2022 which is building now.
Brad
btw: If you're interested it can be reproduced by:
1.Open MIDI Controller Assignments window
2.Move a normal controller.
3.Wait 5 seconds
4.Move a RPN controller
5.Wait 3 seconds
6.Move the same normal controller.
7.Wait 5 seconds
8.Move the RPN controller again
