Hi
CronoX3.5, Mac 10.5.6, 2.8 8-core. Browsing through the sounds I came to Pads>AtmospherePad, whereupon playing it I received a huge burst of distorted noise. Does this happen for anyone else, and how might I track it down. All other sounds so far are fine.
Thanks
Brett

OK, now another sound gives me a similar burst. Pads2>WavestationLike.
Looking at both of them, Gen1 is switched to FM and volume on 100%. When I lower the volume of Gen1 the burst goes away.
Could a CronoX owner please confirm this for me?
Thanks

Yep, happens to me on both sounds you mentioned - I've tried it on both Intel and PowerPC machines and got the same result. Second time around I put a limiter on the channel as it's a serious burst of noise.
There seem to be some issues with the FM in ChronoX. I've found that messing with the Spread parameter on one of the FM sources often triggers a burst of noise and the synth then goes silent but doesn't crash. It means I can save and then restart the instance but maybe indicates there's some finishing to be done around the FM synthesis.

This IS definitely the right place to ask for tech support, yes. But it's weekend and all the LinPlug dudes are out of the office. Peter and his crew will be back tomorrow...

Confirmed its a bug, I located it finally, its the FM operation thats causing some trouble under certain circumstances. Most probably its fixed in the next release, however, its not sure when it will appear.
Thanks for the report and sorry for the enormous delay.
