Plugin toolbar

Can we have a way of removing or a least resizing or customising the toolbar for plugins that are smaller than it is wide? Several of my Image Line plugins for example (which are notoriously tiny) end up surrounded by ugly grey space due to this.

Try this: open the plugin editor then hit Alt+Enter (or right click in the title bar and de-select Show Toolbar) it will hide the toolbar and menus completely and shrink the window to fit the plugin.

Great that's better for now - any way to have it off for all plugins till I tell it to come back?
Maybe customising the toolbar would be useful though too. There are some things in it like keyboard capture that I don't need or use and just add space (same for most commands I can access via the menu).

Also I couldn't see the rightclick on menu bar thing because of the skin I was using for BBLean. Maybe it's not a good idea generally to have items like that in the menu bar as they may be hidden from the end user who doesn't know to look there? ie it's not the sort of place a person would look for commands or in line with expectations - I would have expected something like that more from a rightclick on the toolbar itself (that is the convention in most office-style apps) and had even tried to do that myself

Agree on both points, however it's too late to change anything there for 2.0. I'll make a note to revisit this later. Thanks for your feedback.Maybe it's not a good idea generally to have items like that in the menu bar as they may be hidden from the end user who doesn't know to look there?
