v1.6.1 Jun 4
  • 300 patterns added.
  • 160+ sounds added.
  • More randomization options in the step sequencer.
  • New patch randomizer mode.
Extreme Drumsynth is a drum machine that can create fully synthesized drum sounds and drum patterns with random variations.

The synthesizer is capable of modeling a wide range of percussion sounds including acoustic drums, cymbals, synthetic drums and special effects.

The step sequencer provides several ways to randomly vary the patterns to create patterns that vary naturally over time.

I haven't had a crash but I did have an error message pop up before when opening it.

RunBeerRun,

What host did that happen in?

Reaper, it didn't crash anything though. Vista 32 bit dual core.

Hrmmm no sound at all in eXT 1.41.. Nothing with MIDI triggers or Drum Pads.

This seems like a great product.. What am I doing wrong??

Going to try in FL beta next...

It works in Reaper but it uses a lot cpu (14.5%).

Two suggestions would be :
- improve the GUI
- add some presets (as in the demo, you can't re-load your own presets)

It seems to be a rather well complete drumsynth, looking forward to this.

xing...check your PM :).

The one thing I've noticed with it is that the volume is very quiet even with the volume turned all the way up on the VSTi. How about adding an Output Gain? The final output needs a good 6db Boost or so. Other than that well done. 8)

I'm not sure what's going on there. It seems to work for me in ext 2.5, I'll test in 1.41. You should be able to click on a pad and hear the sound or trigger it using midi.

I will be looking into cpu improvements. Though I doubt that I'll be able to get it much lower than 10%, as I've already done a lot of the obvious optimizations.

Anything specific with regard to the gui.

There will be more presets, as I get some time.

By the way if anyone wants to send me their presets (fxp for a single pad, fxb for all 16 pads) and doesn't mind if I use them in the released version, I'll convert them to a form that the demo version can read, and send them back to you.

Would you prefer a global gain (for all pads) or just increase the amount of gain using the master level setting of each pad.

The first beta, on my single core, was pretty maxed out, now it's 16.4% cpu with a simple 3-pad rock rhythm going.

I would donate some presets, but I tweak it any which way and it sounds great so there wouldn't be any works of art there.

Volume is definitely low in comparison to other plugs, I hit a pad and go for the level right away.

Although I'm sure I meet them, what are the min sys req's for this? Any special system/file dependencies? Theres gotta be a reason I dont hear anything..
