Need testers for my x86 to x64 vst adapter

John,
What I was doing wrong was not naming the text file with '.64' as part of the name. So I fixed that.
Now when I try to load the VSTi I get a JBridge error that says "Hey, where's the GUI?" And Cubase freezes up.
That should be pretty specific now. But I don't want to be a bother. It's obviously something else is going on with my setup. If it's working for others then I'll ride off into the sunset unless umd wants me to try something else.
Thanks for the help guys.
Brian
BTW, is the version in the new Cantabile x64 also limited to 30 minutes? That's working great on my system.

No, that's ok, you may have found some other issue.
That "hey, where's the gui" is normal, what I would suggest you now is to try a different plugin to see if it also hangs Cubase.
Cantabile only has built in support to directly use jBridge, it doesn't come with it bundled.
The full version will be available soon.
Stay tuned.

umd,
That's what it is. All the Kontakt 3, Kontakt 2, Kontakt PLayers behave the same and lock up Cubase. I just tried it with Halion Symphonic orchestra and it works fine.
So seems there's a problem with these plugs in Cubase 64. Kontakt 3 works great in Cantabile 64.
Hope this helps.

Hum, I think I know what causes it.
The next version should fix that.

John,
I'm using Cubase 5 64-bit. BTW, if you didn't see I discovered my problem (misnamed the .txt file). But I still had problems with Kontakt. When I tried a different VSTi it worked.
I think JBridge version .5 that umd put out makes Cubase think the publisher is Steinberg since it now puts the VSTi under the Steinberg heading rather than the JBridge setting.
Still crashes the moment I try to load it.
Again I think this is a wonderful plug. It works incredibly well in Cantabile solo.

John,
Yes, all are the latest versions. It'll probably be a moot point for me since Kontakt 3 will be out natively in 64-bit (soon I hope.) And the only other major VSTis I use are Omnisphere and Philharmonik which I can teleport in (actually I need to test those.)
But I think it's great Umd has something that for the most part works great and seems companies like Steinberg and Cakewalk can't build a solid working VST bridge to save their life.
*** Also for umd, ***
I noticed a change you made in .5 doesn't allow me to use any of the VSTis. But if I go back to .44 I can use Omnisphere, and Halion orchestra no problem.
So something in .5 broke my ability to use any plugs.

umd,
One last bit of info. I noticed I cannot use a JBridged Philharmonik either -- same crash. But Omnisphere works fine.
So I guess it's the way each individual instrument loads or something that make some compatible and some not. Could be down to a particular version like John suggested.
Oh well, off to work.

SimSam, thanks for the info.
This is very intriguing...
I can tell you there was no change at all in the way plugins are handled from version 0.44. Maybe Cubase is somehow also detecting the 32bit plugin.
I'll keep this issue on watch.
( Neverthless, it's a fact that this won't work everytime. )

Unfortunaly, nothing yet.
Still trying to find the cause.
The only workaround so far is to bridge something like energyXT and put it inside it.
btw, an interesting finding:

Using xlutop's dxi wrappers, I could run a dxi instrument in Cantabile x64 (didn't fully tested this, but so far so good).
