Wow, any more info on this? I take it from the length that it's unabridged?Ian B wrote:HP Lovecraft > At the Mountains of Madness......as I record it to hd from tape before burning to cd. 2 classic (imo)late 60's albums re-released as a double in 1998

Not really, the double album I had on vinyl seemingly has two extra tracks on disc 1 at least according to this http://www.deaddisc.com/ot/Mountains_Of_Madness.htm (tracks 1+2 aren't on the list in that link, unless of course the listing is different) I won't know till I've finished recording the second side of the cassette.Voidoid Surrealist wrote:Wow, any more info on this? When I had it vinyl, like every other album I bought, it was played once and recorded to cassettte, I very rarely put the track listing down on the cassette box. This collection is well worth searching out if you can get it, I would if I didn't already have it on tape.......along with a boxful of cassettes I'm now in the process of putting on hd/burning to cd.
Oh, and I'm using Acoustica Spin-it-Again, a nice little app that automatically splits the recordings into individual tracks rather than one long recording, with some rather good noise reduction/declicker effects. I dare say there are other options for this, but it works very nicely.
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Presumably this one? I only saw a completely wrecked vinyl copy of this last week whilst crate digging in a charity shop...Voidoid Surrealist wrote:Wow, any more info on this? Definitely, sometimes EHG write too many tracks about fluffy kittens and rainbows over exquisitely delicate piano playing... seriously though Dismal just has a purity in its brutality that seems to be missing nowadays.Voidoid Surrealist wrote:Most welcome! It's always nice to have something for when even EHG is too upbeat.
Can't believe I've missed this for so long.

Ive got both the original Phillips albums on vinyl ('67 and '69, sheesh), and the most recent CD reissue under the name 'Dreams In the Witch House' which, AFAIK, has everything off the albums, as well as 4 more tracks including another version of White Ship.Ian B wrote:Not really, the double album I had on vinyl seemingly has two extra tracks on disc 1 at least according to this http://www.deaddisc.com/ot/Mountains_Of_Madness.htm (tracks 1+2 aren't on the list in that link, unless of course the listing is different) I won't know till I've finished recording the second side of the cassette.Voidoid Surrealist wrote:Wow, any more info on this? An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

That's the one, tho' the track running order on my double vinyl set was slightly different.Az're-ul wrote:Presumably this one? Bizarre, I've got 22 tracks here, but only the one version of both White Ship and Keeper of the Keys. I'll have to give all the Amazon sample tracks a listen to find out how I've managed itwhyterabbyt wrote:Ive got both the original Phillips albums on vinyl ('67 and '69, sheesh), and the most recent CD reissue under the name 'Dreams In the Witch House' which, AFAIK, has everything off the albums, as well as 4 more tracks including another version of White Ship.

Yeah, they're such a bunch of softies sometimes.Az're-ul wrote: Definitely, sometimes EHG write too many tracks about fluffy kittens and rainbows over exquisitely delicate piano playing

Nice, that looks like it may be the one to get (unless they did dumb things with the remaster, that is)whyterabbyt wrote:This is it : http://www.amazon.com/Dreams-Witch-Hous ... l_1#disc_1
