I have something of an obsession with making tracks that are just a continuously repeated phrase, only using effect automation and instrument layering for variation. I've done the one note track, the one chord track and here I got really adventurous and used a phrase made of several notes.

Warning: It's not only repetitive, it's 9 minutes long. If you manage the whole thing, it may be because you got hypnotised half way through. You might want to set an alarm or ask a friend to check on you

This is a beauty piece of ambient!

Simple and minimalistic, very drone'ish. Should have dropped it an octave lower so I could fall a sleep while I listen ZZZzzzzz...

and that was a compliment.

I would take it as a compliment, it's exactly what I do too...until some noisy fast glitchery-pokery track comes on and wakes me up

@ polyslax - maybe the nature element is that I spent several hours of the composition stage on a train looking out at cows in green fields and narrow boats on canals. Quite a contrast to my busy London life. Can you smell the manure when you listen?

When I was very young (yes, that long ago) there were large numbers of telephone lines strung on posts across the countryside. If you put your ear to one of the posts on a windy day you heard something very much like this. I always used to find it very restful. So this is the stereo, dynamic, Hi-Fi version

really easy on the shoulders, DLM. I agree with Az' about watching the sunrise or set to this. So sublime it was like falling asleep and dreaming with my eyes open. Nice work.
