Not sure what you are trying to do...
In the media player check "Send to" and try "plugin racks"
In the rack(s) check "Midi In". Also see there for the proper mid channel assigments or omni with a multitimbral module.
Maybe that helps?

Hi
Thank you for answering, I use cantabile lite (free) version: I don't have media player menu to chose from... so I cleared and reinstalled cantabile and it works now: I can record a midi clip and read it through a vst.
But something moved I don't figure how: the midi sequencer do not automatically display the recorded midi notes anymore when I hit the record button. That means now the last recorded midi file after recording has to be loaded in the sequencer to be played.
Before reinstallation, I probably set up something I can't find anymore, but it used to work that way: I want the midi sequencer display the current recording again, but how ?

I think you're talking about the Cantabile 1.2 option to "automatically load last recording". This feature got lost when adding support for multiple media players in 2.0 but I'm working on a fix now - which if not in the next build will be in the one after.

You'll need build 2025 or later... in the media files section, click the "New Media File" button and choose Auto Load -> MIDI Recordings.
This will create a media player that automatically loads and tracks the latest MIDI recording. Similar functionality is available for audio recordings.

The version I'm using is said by the server to be up to date: Cantabile lite version 1.2.0.1265.bradr wrote:You'll need build 2025 or later...
I didn't found a new media file button but I just found the "automatically load new recording" function in the tool section of the midi recorder. No such function in the audio recorder, btw. Anyway this is what I was looking for, thank you !click the "New Media File" button and choose Auto Load -> MIDI Recordings.

I did.
I have a better feeling with the older GUI, that's the reason why I use previous version. But now that I have a reason to switch to v2 and get used to it...
Thank you
