Sounds like a great tool ;), esp since there are companies that years
after XP64 and V64 still haven't done anything in regards to 64bit. :x

Did anybody try it with Vienna Ensemble (Version 3, if possible) x64 yet?
Can't do testing atm due to deadlines.

Its great how Jbridge remembers the gui's window position. Is it possible to have the bridged plugins open in the same position as REAPER's FX Window? The reason is that I like to keep my plugins on one monitor, and the DAW on the other. When I open a plugin normally in REAPER, it opens on the same monitor as REAPER's FX window. With Jbridge, I have to move it over everytime. I hope that doesn't seem like to frivolous a request; its a nice thing to have.

Also, it seems the "Always on Top" functionality is either not working or behaving inconsistently. When I open the Jbridge plugs, they sometimes open behind REAPER's FX window--even with "Always on Top" enabled. Sometimes, they open minimized.

I think the more you sort out these little things, the more professional Jbridge will feel. ;)

oh and why not a "scan plugin" function like FX teleport ? something that makes the installation a little bit more fast :D

jbone1313, could you indicate me a way of reproducing exactly the issue with the "always on top" option? I found no problems here, but I may have done something wrong.

It is now disabled by default, due to the fact that some plugins show popup messages in their initialization and having it enabled by default could hide them and make it seem like it hanged.

As for opening the window in the same position (or close) than Reaper's fx window, that would conflict with the current implementation ( it always opens in the last position where you closed it ), but I guess I could add that as an alternate option.

johncarter, that's a good idea too.

But first I want to (try to) sort the issues with the current plugins that don't work correctly. That's a priority to me.

Thanks.

It seems the weirdness happens when I have two Jbridge plugins in one REAPER FX chain. I'm using the arrow keys to move back and forth between them. I'm using Kore and Battery, but I imagine it would happen with other plugins.

So yeah, try adding more than one Jbridge plugin to a REAPER FX chain, and then play around with moving between them.

VE3 x64 (over lan) + Altiverb 6 seems to work just fine but I have to do some more extensive testing later. If it holds up that tool would be awesome since they don't intend to release a 64bit version anytime soon and having AV directly in VE is much more efficient.

When and how is the 30min limit going to be taken out? :D

Post

jbone1313, I tried that, no problems here. Maybe it's an OS issue, what's your OS?

lcn, I am going to release a full version next month. :)

New version out.

I think I ( finally ) solved the issue with broomstick bass ( and hopefully with other plugins that work in a similar way too ).

Has anybody gotten this to work with Kontakt 3 in Cubase 5 x64?

Post

I've received a few e-mails asking about the full version's availability.

From what I've read, this seems to be working reasonably well for a lot of people already.

So, if there's no major objections from you guys, I could make it available as a paid full version in the next days, at a low price. This is a home made business and I don't think this should cost much, so I was considering a price of 9.90€ per license, which seems to me a fair price, given its usefulness and the additional value it can bring to your existing software. This fee will help to support the application's development.

( Those who purchase it now will be entitled to all future full version updates for free, of course ).

So, what do you think, guys? Would you consider this stable enough at this point for that?

Awesome!! :D :D :D

I gladly pay more than that, but can you please add some sort of simple frontend to control this thing. I get a headache from reading the instructions how to use it.

Post

Yeah, I know, that *.txt sucks. :(

What I can do for now is make it easier to read.

I'm afraid that one way or another you'll always have to know how to control it manually ( Unless, of course, you bug your favorite host developer to support this, it only takes 2 or 3 lines of code to do that :D )
