I have found the schematics of the SSL 4000 desk here http://www.ka-electronics.com/images/SS ... _index.htm and will look through them to see if there is any difference in the model I have done to that as to a clue as to what is going on here. If there is anything that is a subtle change to improve my algorithm I will be happy to implement it, but I am happy with the sound of The Glue so I don't really want to do anything that will impact it too much :)

Thanx for looking into that, Andrew. I also like the sound of the glue very much, so i am totally with you to implement that only if it doesn't change the overall sound and behavior to much :)

Hello Andrew, I think you've done a pretty good work with The Glue. Like you you've said before "I've done my job and the rest is down to personal taste as to weather you like the sound of the original or not". I bought your product (and I'm sure most of us did it) because of how it sounds now. I'm not against impovements and all tests and comparissons made here and at Gearslutz but imHo they are pointless (with due respect to all those you've dedicated some of their time on the tests). If you like the UAD, Waves or the real one more than The Glue and you can afford it/them just buy it/them. I know you're running all those tests to be sure about your purchase but asking for The Glue to be like them is pointless too. It's incredibly good like it is now and like I said I'm not against improvements but maybe Andrew could focus all his efforts on finishing his web page, bugs fixing and final release instead of trying to satisfy some of us with "suggestive" remarks. Andrew, please, if you're going to change something in the plug-in make it optional always because I LOVE how it sounds now.

Thanks, Have a nice day.

Additional features like dual-mono and M-S might very well solve the stereo field issues some of us are reporting. Andrew had earlier said these would be easy to implement so there's not really anything to compromise. Personally, I would buy it for these additional features alone.

Good additions yes. And fairly easy to implement I would think. Makes the compressor more versatile. Although I cant see an issue with the stereo field.

Andy I wouldn't worry too much about altering your product, I think it's fine as it is. The differences between the glue and UAD are miniscule, I spent 5 minutes tweaking adl's comparison

Both the glue and uad are in this example, the glue got a 0.3 boost in stereo info and two tiny eq adjustments (less than 0.4 db)

scoobz i was chomping at the bit big time mate!!! then my audio computers system drive failed on me and by the time i had this back up pc up and running and internet ready - i missed the release (slightly gutted to say the least). I am going to be purchasing it real soon. First i have to get my audio machine up and running again. At least now i have seperate internet and a audio pc's though looking at things on the positive side :)

So its on the ASAP list along with one or two other needs (not just wants). I use the Waves API 2500 more than i use the Waves SSL G-Series Bus comp and in my opinion The Glue, the Waves API 2500 and my LiquidMix which is due anyday soon is going to cover all my bases and dare i say the Waves SSL won't get a look in as The Glue is more versatile and is an inbetweener of the G & E Series

So that is where i am at. Sold already. Cheers for the words anyway scoobz as its more confirmation that i already knew (to back up my ears lol!) and also big thanks to my man adl :tu: if it sits well with his UAD setup and holds its own thats more confirmation plus i use Ableton Live 7 for alot of my own stuff and as inspiration/creative base - so its good to hear its all running well their and then when engineering other bands or mixing and editing my own stuff its all Pro Tools M-Powered (With the FXPansion VST To RTAS Adapter deployed for certain plug-ins that are VST only).

Dean/Nekro > Bit Chomping big time ;)

BTW: Andy im so happy to see you labours paying off as i have not heard a bad word about The Glue and anyway i will be in touch as soon as i have my audio PC up and running mate and all the best to you

Dean,

That's happened to me before, nightmare, hope you didn't lose too much and get up and running again soon.

I just wanted to make sure, incase I misunderstood you, you can still download a trial version to try on your backup machine in the meantime

quick question or problem ,i just downloaded and installed the 1.0.8 beta on my cubase vst folder, with my other plugins and effects. my problem is cubase does not see the plugin effect.
my pc is a Q6600 2.4(o.c. to 3.o) with 4 gigs and 3x 300 gig sata drives on windows xp with a rme 9632 soundcard running cubase vst5.2. also tried on my other pc to with no luck ,e8500 3.1(o.c. to 3.8 ) 4 gigs and 3 x 300 sata drives windows xp , rme 9632 ,cubase vst5.2
i open cubase up and go to choose it in my effects and its not there but it is in my vst plugins folder ,would there be a reason that i maybe overlooking why it wont show up on my systems. i doubled check to make sure the dll is in the plugin folder in cubase and it is but it still does not show.
if any one has any ideas please let me know :?
