What will be the big product announcements at Musikmesse?

RME is there, we'll see.egbert wrote:I was wondering if RME might have something new to show. Fireface800 is getting a little long in the tooth new - I was hoping a MkII might appear. Octamic and Multiface have had a refresh. It would be nice to see the pres from the Micstacy on something further down their range.
I'm curious about Focusrite, tc.electronic (TC-Helicon) and Solid State Logic however. Now that Universal Audio did a massive roundhouse kick in the industry with their recent creations, and the Liquid Mix, the Powercore and the Duende is slowly getting old, I'm curious about their "answers".
All four firms are there, but then again, only Universal Audio is really interesting me.

Looks like RME has only new high end stuff for the Messe - 16 and 32 channel AD and DA units for ADAT and MADI.

Yeah, would be cool if they release Kontakt 3.5 (64bit etc) finally!koolkeys wrote:Nope! Not NI! At least not that I know of. But that only means that I haven't heard or gotten any information or press releases about it. So they might be. Would be cool if they did since I have a few of their plugins!K-Slash wrote:Yep, and I think that you were talking about Native Instruments before.
By the way, Softube will show something new in the Amp Room line.
Brent
I'm also guessing that Waldorf may be releasing and Imposcar2...are those the one you were talking about Brent?

Lovers of big modular systems, go to the Brauner booth, and look for the systems built by "Club of the Knobs", a portuguese company (founded and directed by a german), which is making great modules, and assembling really big modular systems, very closely inspired (actually, even resembling) the Moog Modulars

They will be showing a Fireface 400 USB.egbert wrote:I was wondering if RME might have something new to show. Fireface800 is getting a little long in the tooth new - I was hoping a MkII might appear. Strange to keep the Fireface name though.

Yes - I saw this today. They claim very low latency performance on their USB drivers. USB3 is not so far away now. Perhaps they will go USB on all their current Firewire range and its successors.invitia wrote:They will be showing a Fireface 400 USB.egbert wrote:I was wondering if RME might have something new to show. UniFace might have worked better as a name than a firewire free FireFace.

I guess this is just a big fat aprils fool joke. Unless they release yet another sequencer. As if we don't that many already.
Or they rerelease V-Station? Dunno.
Oh and C5 pretty much runs stable for most of the users. Dunno why there is an update needed.

I thought there was always a bunch of bugs in new versions. For me, I said I'd wait till the first bugfix to buy it (maybe I can wait longer and save money??) Have to admit, I don't DO cubase.not, so maybe there isn't much after allCompyfox wrote:
