And btw: I probably won't be using it just yet, but I want to support the continued development. I'm hoping you can get the gui integration with the host a little more refined. That's a minor issue though. If I was up against my memory limits, I'd definitely just deal with that.

Let me just finish a new fancier readme, some more tweaks and some scrollbars in the gui and I'll be putting something out.
I really don't know if I can refine the gui integration much more, unless there's a way of a 32bit process to use the window handle of a 64bit one ( afaik it's not possible ).
But if what it has now works fine, I'll be happy.

Sorry if this is old news!
FYI...One of the previous versions (.4something) didn't save the loaded sounds in Trilogy. It's fixed now.
Starting to feel pretty stable and solid overall. Good stuff!

Ok - just d/l-ed this to check it out. It works great! No latency/time differential whatsoever, and it will load any of my 32-bit plugs in Cubase 32-bit under Vista 64. Something I had hoped Bidule would do - but did not. Only thing is - is I can't load any plugs outside of Cubase once the RAM usage gets passed a certain point. So, if I load my template, I need to dump one of my instances of Kontakt in order to load an external instrument. I am not sre why tho - my RAM is not maxed yet...

You mean that in win64, all the running 32-bit processes can't use more than 3.5 Gb as well?
That's something I would like to be sure of.

Are you referring to my post? I ask because I never made mention of 3.5 GB RAM....umd wrote:You mean that in win64, all the running 32-bit processes can't use more than 3.5 Gb as well?

Yes.
I was just wondering if it could be the case that WOW64 has its own maximum addressable space... at what amount of memory usage does that happen?
Can you have more than 3.5Gb used by 32bit processes in Vista64?

When I load my Cubase 32-bit template, which is 6 instances of Kontakt 2 (32-bit) locally, and 14 instances of Kontakt 2 via FX-Teleport, my local RAM usage is at 3.70 GB. I can actually get up to 4 GB if I wanted to. That's INSIDE Cubase. With this template open, I can not load any jBridge plugs.
Here is where it gets wierd.
If I open a new project, load 6 instances of Kontakt, and fill them with the same multis as I have in my template (basically duplicating my template without the FX-T instances), my RAM usage is (as it ahould be) at 3.70 GB. I can now load a jBridge plug.
If I open a new project, load 6 instances of Kontakt, and fill them with the same multis as I have in my template and add one FX-T instances, my RAM usage is (as it ahould be) at 3.70 GB. I can now NOT load a jBridge plug.
But the problem is not FX-T. If I load one Kontakt multi and a few instances of FX-T, I can in fact load a jBridge plug. Not sure what the deal is there...
Cheers.

Interesting. Not sure what could cause it though.
Is it just Kontakt that you can't load under those circumstances, or any other bridged plug as well? Any error message?
Thanks.

Cheers.

Ok, I'll see if I can find out anything else about that. Thanks for the info.

Got another wierd thing.
Atmosphere and Stylus RMX work - but they only work either normally, or as bridge plugs - not both. Weird, because Trilogy works fine.
With Trilogy, Kontakt2, Ivory, Hypersonic, I copied the "plugin_name.32.dll" four times, and renamed it to "Trilogy,32.dll" etc... and both show up in Cubase. So, I have Kontakt2, and Kontakt2.32 - and both are useable.
But with Atmosphere and Stylus RMX - if I copy the "plugin_name.32.dll" and rename it to "Atmosphere.32.dll", only Atmosphere.32 shows up in Cubase. Atmosphere does not. If I shout down Cubase, delete Atmosphere.32.dll, then Atmosphere shows up again once I relaunch Cubase.
And PLAY does not work at ALL - play_VST.32.dll does not show up in Cubase period.
Cheers.
