Chord progression software

Hello,
I am looking for a particular application which I have forgotten the name of.
Basically it was a chord library where you could work dynamically with chord progressions. Like after selecting Chord XYZ, you could choose those chords who fit the key of the song in a particular manner. I recall that the layout was circular, where the present chord was in the middle of the layout and then surrounded by optional chords for audition. It is a clever way of quickly checking chord structures and I think you could choose different instrument sounds as well.
Anybody knows of what I seek?

I'm pretty confident that Improvisator was the one I had in mind...those other tools appear interesting as well though, I appreciate the tips.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There was some toy-like songwriting tool online...you could select chords and the progression and the playback were sampled guitar chords and I think it had a simple backbeat as well. Does anybody have the URL to that site?

Wanted to bump this because I've been using Tonespace for the past few days and it just a phenomenal little piece of code...
Extremely straightforward, yet elegant, pleasant-looking, and very easy to use. Works like a charm in EnergyXT, too.
Oh, and it's free!

I should add that Palette, while a great program in itself, seems to be like a poor man's version of Harmony Navigator.
Also, the fact that Palette doesn't actually show you what notes are being played in a given chord drives me insane.

I am not sure its fair to compare Palette with Harmony Navigator.hxcobd wrote:I should add that Palette, while a great program in itself, seems to be like a poor man's version of Harmony Navigator.

Palette's strengths lay in its ability to build complete melodies using a variety of techniques provided by the editor. In that respect its a VERY powerful tool although the interface is rather odd imo.
